Barbara (L) and Jenna Bush, the daughters of U.S. President George W Bush, walk together from the Darnall Army Community Hospital in Fort Hood, Texas, April 11, 2004 after President Bush (news - web sites) and members of his family visited with soldiers wounded in Iraq (news - web sites). Bush awarded 10 purple hearts to troops recovering in the hospital, after attending an Easter Sunday Church service at a chapel within the army base in central Texas.

I always wondered why the panties weren't worn over the leotards to help hold them in place I always wore panties over the tights for just that reason........we were only allowed to wear flesh colored or white ones when I was in grammar school.

Land'o'living, does that picture bring back memories! ha. I can still remember the little round "pearl" buttons at the wrist of my white gloves! Those were the "good old days" in a whole lot of ways. :-)

"Even your comment on Chelsea being pitiful is so cruel and uncalled for - why did you feel it required to strike out at her?" Well, aren't you special? And totally in context with most of the posts you've made on this forum! Just cain't hep it....eh? LOL!

If I remember correctly we had the fingertip rule in HS, and like my legs, my arms are on the long side, so my skirts always were so much longer than most of my friends....
To this day I still wear skirts/dresses shorter than the fingertip rule (not always, I do have many that are shin length)
We didn't have girl scouts where I grew up......but the Juniorettes were allowed to wear those uniforms on Tuesdays.....but they were just as flippable as the school uniforms.

This reminds me of my favorite profs' wife, who once told a few gals in class that back when microminiskirts were in style, it was unthought of to wear panties under them. She had to have told us this in 1991. I was shocked as were a few friends in the class. We were young, innocent Southern gals, and this Yankee woman was telling us that not only was it the style way back when, but SHE also dressed that way. (She went to an Ivy league school in the 60s.)

I wore micro minis in the sixties and wore underpants but usually wore tights with them or white opaque stockings. No one went without unless of course we misplaced them when we were out.

"Odd thing is, I defended Chelsea back in those days too. I just cannot tolerate young kids and young people being bashed on these threads like they asked for it. They ought to have a space and respect to make their mistakes and grow out of them."
Odd thing is, you said what i was trying to say & you stated it much better than I did. It just gets down to - leave the kids alone - they had no choice in who their parents are, or what their parents did/do...

holy crap ! i haven't had that much fun in a while. when the thread first started i couldn't get away ! I went to work late and then left early ! I hate it when people bash my president or his family and he just jerked my chain hard at first. then i realized he was a troll.next, Howlin' posted that pic of Kerry wearing the exact same outfit D S had just descibed as what he had worn to church, and I leaned back too hard laughing and fell over backwards and smacked my head on the wall! then the underwear stuff started and then ...wow! I missed the unmasking! I share a web site with some pretty witty guys and ladies.
and to add my bit to the underwear thing, I went "commando" for years thinking I was a stud, then I was in a bad car wreak. interesting to have a nurse tell my then girlfriend (now wife) to bring a pair of underwear to the hospital. never went without again! LOL

Underpants may be optional if one is in bed, married and with one's spouse. Oh good, that makes me feel better!!!!
This has been so totally hilarious that even though I am practically falling asleep at the keyboard....I can't seem to tear myself away from it!

I wonder when this thread first went up.
I've been visiting it off and on all day.
We spent about 500 enjoyable posts with a disrupter before Miss Marple outed him/her as a repeat offender.
But one thing is clear: the Bush girls are the prettiest and most interesting presidential offspring since ... well, since ever.

I have to take back what I wrote about Barbara's dress after seeing a front view of the plunging neckline, although it doesn't reach the level in the photo I saw as Jenna's dress bodice.

The only thing I hated was that Miss Marple got the troll removed at the wrong time.
I wanted to see it trying to defend itself after your noble work.
What a hoot!
