ANA ENDORSES SENATOR JOHN KERRY FOR PRESIDENT
Since the first American Nurses Association (ANA) Presidential endorsement of the 1984 Mondale-Ferraro ticket, ANA has played an integral role engaging nurses in Presidential politics. ANA is proud to continue this tradition with its endorsement of Senator John Kerry for president.
On February 20, the ANA Board unanimously approved the ANA Political Action Committees recommendation to endorse Kerrys presidential bid. This endorsement decision came only after the completion of an extensive, non-partisan endorsement process.

Union. NO union is going to endorse Bush. But do we really care if they do or not? Union leaders do not speak for all members!

AS a counter-balance, my wife, a nurse is voting Bush/Cheney.
She can't stand Kerry and thinks he's a fool.
God I love her!

Medical personnel of all people ought to know better than to endorse any candidate who favors a national health care plan.

My wife, an OR RN and a Freeper, just shakes her head again at the ANA.

I am not a member of the ANA, and maybe that's the problem. We let our professional organizations be taken over by the Socialists.

Let me take a wild guess at their previous endorsements:
1984 - Mondale/Ferraro
1988 - Dukakis/Bentsen
1992 - Clinton/Gore
1996 - Clinton/Gore
2000 - Gore/Lieberman
2004 - Kerry/whoever
All arived at by a vigorous non-partisan examination of the candidates, I'm sure.

Union leaders do not speak for all members! This is true. I am a union member and I have never voted for any Democrat, and never will.

This OR nurse doesn't belong to the ANA and this is just one of the reasons.

The same thing with the Policemen and Firemen unions. They support Kerry but their members don't. Only the media thinks this is a big deal but they haven't talked to the members who are not voting for Kerry. They would get an earful!

Those nurses need to see a Doctor, pronto! They have a problem dealing with reality (which could make any patient they are administering to subject to all kinds of bad things wherein good judgment must prevail).
