Favorite FReepers...
Me. | April 9, 2004 | Long Cut

Posted on 04/09/2004 2:37:38 PM PDT by Long Cut

We've all done it. You've just gotten home, logged on to FR, and are scrolling down the "Latest Posts" page, deciding which thread will get your attention this evening, when THAT SCREENNAME jumps out at you in a "to" or "from" position. You are powerless to resist; if THAT GUY's there, it's gonna be a good thread...

All of us have our own "favorites" among the many colorful souls who congregate at this fine website. They could be someone you disagree totally with, agree completely with, or somewhere in between. They might be a fount of useful information, links, and facts. Our favorite might be devastating at the art of debate; demolishing opponents in truly unique style, or he might be just plain nuttier than squirrel dung, but fun nonetheless.

Perhaps your favorite FReeper has a way with words; an excellent writer. Maybe they are someone highly experienced in a particular field, with knowledge that many do not posess. Maybe they're dumber than a bag of hammers.

Point is, no matter what the reason, our "favorite FReepers"' handle attached to a thread makes it all the more interesting to us; it guarantees a wild ride or sublime pleasure in the reading and learning. It may also guarantee an increase in blood pressure and indigestion, but one thing's for sure...that thread HE's on is gonna get a hit or two, and it won't be boring.

I've got more than a few of my own, and I'm sure all of you do as well. WHO'S YOURS?????????????????

My favorites are Cultural Jihad, his screen name is so catchy and in discussions his intellectual depth is evident. Also Floridah_Voter for all the work s(he) does on behalf of Terri Schindler Schiavo. She doesn't just post on the message board she goes out into the streets on behalf of Terri.

"You are not alone..."

When I need to remind myself of that, this is where I come.

I'm gonna use it in John "Frenching" Kerry jokes!

For your punny brilliance, you deserve a "favorite" ping...

I might self-publish it. Me , Archy, Travis, and Jeff head have discussed forming a sort of "writer's co-op" to work on stories, edit, and possibly publish our work. We'll also share gouge on how to do it right.

So far, I'm just doing it for fun. When the mood strikes me, I work on it.

I've also had one or two other ideas, separete from the book.

I will never forget that day. I couldn't believe how my eyes just poured water the moment I first saw him, and the moment he cried.

Thanks for putting Snippy and I on your list of favorites.

We love sharing our Country's history with our fellow Freepers and hearing the personal stories and your thoughts on the subjects we cover.

Although I think the BicycleSpankenTruppen are the main attraction for PE along with Two wheels round engines ;-)

He's 9 months old, today. He's crawling all over the house, and has six teeth. Oh, and his blond hair is now curly.

He is changing from "baby" to "little boy" WAYYY too fast.

Who's YOUR Favorite FReeper?

Dang, Long Cut!! Talk about a hard question to answer! LOL!

And to list my favorite FReepers would have me still typing this time tomorrow night. (I'm not the world's fastest typist. *giggle*) FR is the gathering place for sooooo many fine folks who contribute a wide variety of interesting topics and views, there's no way to keep the list short.

The folks who post at the Canteen and the Foxhole....active duty military, veterans, military family members, and civilians there to support them, are at the top.
A CLOSE second are all the folks who get out and FReep the peaceniks to counter their vile messages, and tied with them are the folks who post the pro-Coalition threads. Wonderful patriots all!

That right there's a long list as it is. Add to that all the folks who post great news threads (which is what got me hooked on FR in the first place) and the humorous threads, and the list would be immense! LOL!

FR's the best site on the net, most definitely, and it's precisely because of the variety of people who post here. There's just no way to single out anyone! I tried ..... and my poor lil pea-brain started rattling. *giggle*

*HUGZ* for you. I hope you know you're in my thoughts every day.

Thanks meek, you're too kind. You're one of many of mine also. As someone else stated...it would be easier to name those I don't like.
I still read way more than I reply.

Like the consensus, all the above named Freepers I too adore, admire and love. I have learned so very much, but the best "larnin'" comes from a not-often-enough poster, Commontator!!!!!
Second to Jim Robinson, are our chapter leaders all across the country.
We have a chance at liberty that Freerepublic affords us, The time they devote to the cause of liberty is priceless.
I am proud to say I have met "my" leader, LIBERTINA, and of course she is among the BIG 3 favorite Freepers list.
