See no evil hear no evil? There are many valid insightful points in this article. this dude knows his stuff. He is the author of THE SWORD OF ISLAM, a fantastic documentation on Islamic activism.
To: inkling
Did you read the entire article with open mind?

They destroy two buildings, we take over two countries.
16 dead Marines? 400 dead Iraqi insurgents.
We can keep this ratio going.
Another 9/11 in America? Watch the havoc we can unleash.
If push comes to shove, we can nuke their a$$es. We will not lose. Europe may lose, but America will not.
Of 1.2B Muslims, 99% cannot afford a plane ticket here. We can JDAM them back to pre-stone-age if and when necessary.
Fear not. Resist. Fight. Win.

This thread will probably get yanked, but for what it is worth Serge makes the most cogent critique of the WOT. Michael Savage makes the second best, his show last night was superb in three hours he outlined why the DC elite is failing. I agree with Mike we need fewer Dr. Rices and we need more men with eye patches, we need a Moshe Dayan type as our National Security head honcho.

: FBI chief Robert Mueller says he is concerned about terrorist attacks this summer on one or even both of the forthcoming political conventions, the Democrats in Boston in late July and the Republicans in New York a month later. I doubt Boston has to worry. Why would they attack what, in essence, is their OWN primary?

Bookmarked. Dead on.
Freepers will recall that, immediately post-9/11 I called for several measures that people thought 'draconian'. These included:
1. Withdrawing the visas of all citizens of terror-supporting states.
2. Deporting same.
3. Perform deep background checks on all 'naturalized citizens' from those nations.
4. Cessation of issuance of all visas to citizens of those nations.
5. Utilization of the National Guard and other means to secure the borders.
6. Creation of what I called a 'Super Mossad' to silently and swiftly assassinate terrorists all over the world.
7. Several other bellicose suggestions, including nuclear and psychological measures, meant to rock the Islamists (with whom we are in a state of undeclared war) and give us time to regroup and mobilize.
We are at war and in deep denial. I suppose they will have to bring down the Sears Tower or the Golden Gate bridge with a satchel nuke before they get our full attention.
There are--in all likelihood--dozens of intact terrorist cells still operating in the U.S. What are we doing about it? How long before one of them launches a Smallpox attack in a major U.S. city?
Can we prevent a crude nuke from being smuggled into Long Beach Harbor? (no).
So indeed, we are losing--because we are fighting in a 'civilized' way against barbarians. Ghod, I hope Bush isn't choosing targets the way LBJ did...

OK muscle man, what are you going to do about the millions of Moslems living in the US, and Europe? We did not even stop the automatic visas to the Saudis, our biggest enemy.
Our prisons are full of forced conversion to Islam or get raped......
To: MEG33
Its off the party line and he does have mild critiques of our policies towards Israel. He also critiques "multi-culturalism" a topic that many conservatives find off limits perhaps because of their game of footsey with the left makes it taboo to criticize one of the left's main dogmas.

Step away from partisan politics, and read the article with open mind.

See no evil hear no evil?I've been living up close with evil for 2.5 years now. This statement, combined with the summary, is just dumb:
That they are more numerous, more successful in attracting scores of fresh (and mostly very young) recruits, more widely spread, and generally more dangerous today than in the immediate aftermath of terrorist attacks, cannot be seriously denied.
There have been two terrorist-sponsoring, tyrannical regimes removed from power, and other states have been cowed into submission/cooperation. Terrorists have been uprooted from their training areas. The author covers little or none of this.
This article should have been printed on double ply. Preferably soft double ply.
