VANITY: I'll Make an FR Donation for Everyone Who Pledges to Boycott MSNBC

I've been driven to post my first vanity by the out and out disgusting behavior of Chris Matthews and Don Imus. Matthews gave full rein today to 4 9/11 widows spouting conspiracy theories...he even said that VP Cheney should be given sodium pentathol before his Commission testimony. Imus has become unwatchable. He has gone far beyond humor in his insults of President Bush - far beyond.
So, here's the deal... the only way we can hurt MSNBC's ratings is by boycotting them ourselves. I'm willing to donate 25 cents to FR for every boycott pledgee on this thread - my maximum is $50, but so is my minimum!
I'm hoping that others might be willing to match my donations. How about it guys? I would love to wake up in the morning and find at least a hundred pledges.

No. No Scarborough. No MSNBC at all. Scarborough has determined which side of the bread the butter is on, and has opted for such. Another one is David Shuster, who was let go by FOX. He never misses a chance to bash President Bush. MSNBC is nothing but a propaganda wing for the dim party. Notice how they never bring up Kerry's gaffes, but never miss a chance to castigate President Bush. Matthews acts like he is auditioning for the job of Press Secretary, if Kerry is elected. Birds of a feather flock together, and while Matthews is not a blatant liar like Kerry, he has drank the Kool-Aid.

Hey! I'm one, too. And all my friends. We all hate the dims, but FIC is right--The "elite" of my generation took over academia and journalism, and has screwed up the works.
To: highlandbreeze
Yeah, but the loudest Boomers are terrible traitors.

I boycotted long ago. That's why I don't know what you're talking about when you mention Chris Matthews, or Imus, or anyone over at MSNBC. And based on their ratings, nobody else is watching either, so I don't think you have anything to worry about. If something of importance happens on MSNBC, nobody sees it anyway.
But, you can still send in your donation. And I hope my long-ago boycott counts!

MSNBC is my escape valve when Fox News sucks. I swear on all that is holy that I will not tune in to MSNBC again.
It's like the Playskool News Network.

From what I've read about today's show and based on previous viewings, I think that Chrissy Matthews forgets he's on television and not in his living room gossiping with the girls.
He lacks dignity and decorum which is why he does not recognize those wonderful traits in President Bush or Dr. Rice.

No, you can pledge a penny a person, or whatever you want.I'm joking with you, my matching pledge stands.

I'm saying as a group , not all. Baby Boomers are the worst generation this country has ever produced. I say that with no joy. I say that because it happens to be undeniably true.

I always thought David Bloom was a good guy...he died in Iraq a year ago this week.........
.....but now MSNBC has nothing to offer me but aggravation. Can't stand Imus; can't stand Matthews; got no use for Scarborough these days either.
Count me in.
