10 Reasons Not To Jog

1. My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was 60. She's 97 now & we don't know where the heck she is.

2. The only reason I would take up jogging is so that I could hear heavy breathing again.

3. I joined a health club last year, spent about 400 bucks. Haven't lost a pound. Apparently you have to show up.

4. I have to exercise in the morning before my brain figures out what I'm doing.

5. I don't exercise at all. If God meant us to touch our toes, he would have put them further up our body.

6. I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.

7. I have flabby thighs, but fortunately my stomach covers them.

8. The advantage of exercising every day is that you die healthier.

9. If you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a small country.

10. I don't jog. It makes the ice jump right out of my glass.

Dumb Jocks

The basketball coach stormed into the university president's office and demanded a raise right then and there. "Please," protested the college President, "you already make more than the entire History department."

"Yeah, maybe so, but you don't know what I have to put up with," the coach blustered. "Look."

He went out into the hall and grabbed a jock who was jogging down the hallway. "Run over to my office and see if I'm there," he ordered.

Twenty minutes later the jock returned, sweaty and out of breath.

"You're not there, sir," he reported.

"Oh, I see what you mean," conceded the President, scratching his head. "I would have phoned."

Today's FEEBLE

YOKE:

Two blondes were driving along a road by a wheat field when they saw a blonde in the middle of the field rowing a row boat.

The driver blonde turned to her friend and said "You know - it's blondes like that that give us a bad name!"

To this, the other blonde replies "I know it, and if I knew how to swim, I'd go out there and drown her."

I am taping Fox and CNN. It will be an inquisition. They are going to try to "hurt" her.

Wrong word: "Lynching".

I wasn't able to find any info about possible commission testimony from Mansoor Ijaz on Cspan. (I only checked the TV schedule, and they only showed that through Thursday at the time I checked.)

Greetings, Canteeners, Troops,
and All the Ships at Sea!

Well, another Canteen Thursday is upon us, and Sarge is back lurking again.

Time between sips of coffee for a few Personals:

MOJO: Hope your birthday was full of debauchery. Did the first responders get your cake extinguished promptly?

STARCMC: Hopefully, you've recovered from the Welcome Home Kalen! Fest yesterday. And, hope your day isn't so busy, that you can't get some rest.

TONKIN: Once again, thanks for the thread today, especially for all the useful links to good stuff.

And, to everybody else, let's have some fun!

SARGE
