This guy should shut up while the soldiers are in harms way.

military operations deemed by many experts to be the riskiest since the fall of Baghdad.. It is pathetic what passes for experts and Senators in these days of our Republic.
The military operations are not risky. Taking on China over Taiwan would be risky.
Sen. Byrd may not be a traitor, but neither is he a patriot, just a tired old man in need of a retirement. At least Sen. Thurmond was a patriot.

The Democrat Party is merely suggesting that GW should give Byrd-brain's opinion all the consideration it is due, especially in light of Byrd's years of experience as a field commander in the KKK.

Just think of the service that Byrd and Kenndy's fathers could have done for our country had they only...

These numbers are no good for your argument.
New York has 8 million people and 600 died in one year.
We have 120,000 troops in Iraq and have lost 600 dead.
NY would have had to lose 36,000 people to crime in one year to equal what our troops are losing, proportionally.

True, it isn't exactly accurate, but in major American cities, you don't have the American citizenry firing AK-47s and RPGs at everything, either.

US senator today called for the United States to withdraw from Iraq
Too bad his father didn't.
That applies to both Byrd & Kennedy.

WANT TO KNOW WHY IRAQ IS NOT ANOTHER VIETNAM?
Because the Democrats do not control either the Senate or the House as they did when they cut off the funds to resist the North Vietnamese! If the Democrats controlled Congress, they could arrange for the U.S. to "lose" another war.

Was Bird wearing his hooded outfit when he pontificated?Heck, all I want to know is did he talk about his ole dog Billie?
