I am in favor of pulling out early. I wish Byrds father had.
To: Jewels1091
He just wants us out because he's heard there are no Pork-Barrel Projects in Iraq.

The Rats are despicable in undercutting the support for our troops who are risking their lives to bring needed change to the cesspool in Iraq.
You are so right about that. They have done nothing but render aid and comfort to the enemy; given them the hope of victory if they can just hold out until November.

It is interesting that one half of the "Bob & Billie" club and a leader of the Democrap Party continuously espouse the essence of the KKK!
To: Jewels1091
Yes, Senator Byrd. Another cut and run like Clinton in Somalia will guarantee more 9-11's on our homeland.
Senator, you should seriously consider retiring.

Kennedy and Byrd are a couple of old fools. They are an embarrassment to themselves. It's way past time for them to join their grandfathers.

Retiring Indeed! What should be "pulled out" is Byrd from the Congress. Let's see what the citizens of the U.S. can do in November.

By any chance did you hear Christopher Dodds comments regarding Byrd??? Sean Hannity played they on his show today.
Trent Lott lost his position as Majority Leader for a whole lot less.

Is that before or after you lynch all the blacks, Mr. Byrd?

Three choices - pull out the troops [Byrd]- send in enough troops to do the job [McCain] - status quo [Bush] keeps targets on the back of troops. Job #1 is to tell the troops what they have to do to come home and support them to do it.

In defense of those who encouraged Lott to leave, it was a heck of a lot more than those comments that made so many eager to show him the door. A lot of us had wanted him gone for years, and as hypocritical as it was, it was a good enough excuse. On balance, fewer principles were violated by getting rid of Lott than by keeping him.

Robert K.K.K. Byrd should instead be working toward an exit strategy.

Byrd and Kennedy are enemies of the United States of America.
As leaders of the enemy within.

Oh I agree Lott needed to go, but Dodds comments were really over the topgiven his past history in the Klan.
In a speech on the Senate floor last Thursday marking Sen. Robert Byrd's 17,000th vote in the body, Dodd said the West Virginia Democrat, member of the Ku Klux Klan before taking office and opponent of the 1964 Civil Right Act, "would have been right during the great conflict of Civil War in this nation."
