Brewery giant Pete Coors will enter Colorado's U.S. Senate race today, potentially giving Republicans a well-known and well-financed candidate to challenge Ken Salazar, the Democratic attorney general.
Coors, CEO of Coors Brewing in Golden, will face former U.S. Rep. Bob Schaffer and Colorado Springs lawyer Dan O'Bryant in the Republican primary to replace retiring Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell.

Maybe he can tie his campaign in with that dumbassed "President of Beers" commercial that Miller is running.

Colorado's Senate seat stays Republican now.

Too bad Jake Leinenkugel doesn't run for Feingold's seat in Wisconsin. Now, THERE'S A BEER !
To: Columbine
Coors family has long been supporters of Republicans. And I'll drink to that! As to how conservative this particular Coors is, someone from Colorado neds to jump in.
I had hoped John Elway might come on board...

Well, all right!
I like Shaffer a lot but if we are going to have a big money, big name, this sounds a lot better than Leniger.
Do you have any links to how Coors stands on various issues?

This is great news. At best, Nighthorse is a moderate. Coors, on the other hand, is quite the rightwinger.

He'll never "fly". He pollutes Rocky Mountain water with hops. Even worse -- he refuses to pollute his beers with hops. ;-)
To: NCPAC
Well that's great!
I hope we get a view of where he stands on the issues pretty soon.
