"Does anyone else think all this criticism of the Iraqi war by the Dems and Kerry have emboldened the insurgiants and the militant Shiites. "
I think Spain's decision to get out of Iraq is one reason why this happening.

IMHO, the whole bunch of them, Kerry, Kennedy, Daschle, etc. should be publicly reprimanded, and told to shut up about the war, because it may be leading to more violence in Iraq. Funny how you can almost trace the upsurgence of violence in Iraq to when Kerry finally secured the probably nomination of the Dems.
Exactly and what the doomsayers on this thread seem to be missing. As far as I am concerned the Americans killed are the responsibility of the undermining of the Bush Administration by Kerry, the Clintons, Democrats, John McCain, Chuck Hagel, 9-11 Commission and other RATs. They should all be ashamed and as far as I am concerned the blood of our Americans is on their hands. All of their attacks have been over the top and despicable.

Sometimes I just want to scream on here -- bad enough we have to hear the RATs day in and day out on the attack but to see the negativity of Freepers is irritating. They miss the big picture whether on purpose or too busy attacking President Bush.
Really frustrating at times! Cannot imagine not having friends on FR like you that are on the same wave length -- helps keep the fight going!

Indeed. Right after 911, many Freepers were terribly upset that nothing was being done, lack of a quick response would lead to ruin. And then the Afghanistan war started. When it seemed to be moving slowly, they were upset again until the Taleban fell.
And "the sky was falling" when it seemed that everything was being delayed in Iraq waiting for the U.N. It seems to happen with every major vote, court decision or general election we lose.
OTOH, it is helpful to know who will not cut and run when things are bleak. You can count on me, no matter what:
No surrender. No retreat. Remember the Alamo!

Either that or MOAB carpet-bombing. Introduce Moqtada to his virgins now!!!

If we know what building Sadre is in then why don't we just bomb it? They say they know where he is and that he is guarded by over 100 men so why don't we just take all of them out with a massive air strike? We better kill this guy or capture him soon. It will make others think twice about opposing us more than it will create more support for the ignorant scum.

I am an American mom first, I care for my family, my neighbourhoodHey, lady, with the lonely AOL chat-room troll screenname... Americans spell it "neighborhood". European appeasers and the like spell it your way.
Hussein's Iraq was a haven for terrorists, including Al Qaeda (which was basically a joint venture between Islamic extremists and Hussein's Mukhabarat). That's why we're there. Now that Saddam's gone, all of the beneficiaries of his terror regime are pissed, and they're out for blood. This should come as no surprise to anyone paying attention. They live for blood. It's what they do.
Wise up. It's an ugly world. Until you learn the facts, your shrill presentation of your ill-informed opinions aren't worth a fraction of the time it takes to read them.

"The Tet Offensive is supposed to happen closer to 6/30 I think."
That's what I thought of when they said they pulled out the non-fighting (?) personnel. And of course, even with major success on our side, the press will make our losses so significant that we will "lose" the battle. I'm sure glad I don't have to go up against the cook! I bet a Marine cook or other "non-fighting" person might be just the one to be glad to FINALLY get to shoot at something.
Prayers for courage, bravery, clear thinking and lots of Grace on our Marines (and plenty of ammo and air support).
