Arrests? Are you kidding me?
How about death!
Well, in the absence of psychic marines who can use their telepathy to determine guilt/innocence, arresting those suspected of involvement would be the proper procedure.

I know it's Debka but they recently posted this update...
Marines backed by tanks, helicopters and AC-130 Spectre aerial gunship engage Sunni guerrillas in fierce fighting in Fallujah. Rumsfeld reports several arrests if men responsible for ambush of four US security guards last week. US have photographs of more targets. City cordoned off and access restricted to reporters.

It's Sadr's Shi'ites helping the insurgents west of Baghdad. They were probably responsible for most of the insurgency in Baghdad. They're trying to buy some time for the insurgents in Fallujah and Ramadi.
Last stand of the insurgency.
To: Dog
They're going after al-Sadr's guys.

"Wretchard this is the attack to suck our forces away from the fight in Fallujah" Which would imply coordination between the Sunni Baathists in Fallujah, and the Shiite Badr forces.
Good hunting and safe returns to the troops!

Ar Ramadi is in the Sunni Triangle, Ansar al-Islam had a training camp in the area that was shut down back in June 2003. If Sadr's outfit is operating in the area, the locals are likely to take them apart on their own accord.

Has Sadr ordered up a new batch of virgins for his thugs?
Go get them Marines!

This might help.
Or not.
To: Dog
Wretchard this is the attack to suck our forces away from the fight in Fallujah. The salamikazes are thinking in terms of their own limited numbers and means. I suspect they are unfamiliar with the implications of our having more combat troops on hand than just those around Fallatio.

How did Sadr get his Shiite militia into the Sunni Triangle? Are they sure this isn't Baathists or Ansar?
