It's not that the dummies at DU have no patience, it's that they hate America.

Hi Guy, I'm trying to catch up on the news. Seems we're taking casualties. May God bless and watch over the Marines.
Methinks (if it hasn't been said already) that this Shia insurgency is caused by and supported by Iran. Methinks the Persians (mullahs) have shown their hand too quickly. Time to bring them back to reality.

Yes, I have tuned on Savage also. The interview with Phill was informative. Savage may be over the edge but that is what it is going to take to wake up America. So many in my family say, "Oh, everything is OK. They won't take God out of the pledge. The socialists are not going to win here". In fact, some don't know what "Fallujah" is!

You got it. We have men in battle and he tries to use it to up his ratings. I stopped watching him a few months ago.

Have you lost your medication? You think being a shareholder and writing to Ailes is going to do anything? Unless you own a hundred million dollars of stock don't waste your time (and stop posting such foolish comments)

I thought he was joking.... but seems not so... that is incredible .... but modern communications has made the world very small!

Thanks oldngray, there are a lot of well-intentioned FReepers around who have never experienced battle, but often times seem to have all the answers.
Best wishes,

I take credit in helping O'reilly's ratings descend. The only reason I tune in anymore is to hear him read his e-mails so I can laugh.
O'Reilly's head has gotten so big, his pea brain is somewhere down around his ankles. Then after O'Reilly comes the book pushing news show Hannity and Colmes. LOL. Wake up America, these guys are running right to the bank with your money. 50% of the time the popups I get on my computer is an advertisemnt of their books.

And 70 men armed with AKs/RPGs is still a major problem.
By what standards? We are talking about a whole country armed to the teeth where the major religion breeds lunatics. It's a wonder that 700 don't charge us every day. By the standard of a few dozen Marines in a compound that have the duty of protecting their turf while engaging and defeating 70 attackers. 20-30 enemies going prone to provide covering fire while 50 attackers make their move is nothing to sneeze at, especially when the enemy probably knows every weakness of the place they're assailing. These Marines weren't holed up in a substantial fortress, just a walled compound. But again, we don't know the details yet. Still confused by the "wave after wave" reports.

He won't have such a smug smile after I write to Ailes. I am mad enough to switch to CNN. Well, then O'Reilly won't be getting under your skin, but some worse twerp will.
I've somehow learned to find O'Reilly funny -- not that I agree with him, but he is so superficial, dense and mean that he is a parody of himself. He cannot be taken seriously.
To: oldngray
This is why the people like Hunt are saying we need more Special Forces people. What he's saying is we need more gladiators, high IQ warriors to call to bear the veritable 20 tons of firepower with air and ground support.

If I had to make an educated guess....he's dispatched some of his goon squad from Baghdad to Ramadi which is only about 30 miles from Baghdad.

I'm in a mining camp at about 12,500 feet in the Chilean Andes...the project is up from here. I'm actually managing a mine closure and reclamation project...the mine infrastructure has been here for almost 25-years. I'm in it for the adventure...and the dinero.

This may have been answered for you so forgive me. Fallujah is 40 miles west of baghdad. Ramadi is about 10 miles east of Fallujah. All of our trouble we had in our sector for the most part was in the Abu Ghraib market jsut west of baghdad which recieved a HEAVY influx of people from Fallujah.
