Damn, I am so sick of hearing about how this is like Viet Nam.
I lived thru it then, I have no desire to live thru it again.
Damn all who make me remember the past.

Defender2, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you and our other Veterans for serving, for teaching your children the difference between right and wrong, for caring about the truth.

AP is a disgrace.

We had a crash course in unprofessional journalistic ethics here in Florida, election 2000 and 2002.

Florida's mainstream press (Gannett, esp., and AP) printed DNC opinion as news....even DNC opinion re. Republican candidates and policies, staged fake polls - and when caught, did it again - while ignoring real GOP accomplishments, endorsements - news.

We ended up bypassing the press and e-mailing news to friends and neighbors, friendly groups - homeschoolers, church groups, Veterans, and of course we held rallies and stood up in the public square...and it worked.

The DNC still doesn't know what happened because for the first time in their cheating years....we slid under their radar - they couldn't track public opinion when people were learning through the net, out of their sight and away from their spin artists.

Gave me the idea to set up my homepage, create an e-mail list...to get out the non-wanker war news for the troops.

Ted and friends have each other...and that is a sorry end, indeed.

Our Country was attacked. We are in the process of eliminating threats against U.S. and Senator Kennedy equivilates this to Viet Nam where Freedom was defeated by Tyranny. Senator Kennedy is truly one totally disgusting example of a Human Being.

It truly is no wonder that Americans have lost so much faith in their government when the likes of this guy keep getting reelected.

This is what we mean when we say that we get the government we deserve. Massachussets keeps sending this toad to DC, term after term. Same story elsewhere, with other toads like Daschle, Gephardt, Levin, Feinstein, Boxer, Sanders, ad nauseum.

Perhaps if we had any "journalists" left in the USA, they might ask Kennedy to justify his comments today in light of this speech he gave Sept 27th 2002.

http://kennedy.senate.gov/~kennedy/statements/02/09/2002927718.html

"The life and death issue of war and peace is too important to be left to politics. And I disagree with those who suggest that this fateful issue cannot or should not be contested vigorously, publicly, and all across America. When it is the people's sons and daughters who will risk and even lose their lives, then the people should hear and be heard, speak and be listened to.

But there is a difference between honest public dialog and partisan appeals. There is a difference between questioning policy and questioning motives. There are Republicans and Democrats who support the immediate use of force – and Republicans and Democrats who have raised doubts and dissented.

Is he also condemning his brother's getting us into Vietnam and Johnson's messing it up so badly? He can't do one (criticizing President Bush) without doing the other (criticizing his brother and Johnson). So what he's saying is President Bush is a screw up just like his brother, the revered JFK. That puts Bush in some good company, doesn't it, being compared to the "sainted" JFK (and I don't mean Kerry).

Copy of letter to Editor I just sent to the Boston Globe

To the Editors,

Perhaps if we had any "journalists" left in the USA, they might ask Senator Kennedy to justify his disgracefully partisan attack against President Bush in light of these comments he made in Sept 2002.

Yes, there is. For Senator Kennedy to engage in such nakedly partisan hyperbole and to politicize the Iraq War, as he did April 5th at the Bookings Institute at the very moment US troops are engaged in battle demonstrates quite clearly that Senator Kennedy is a disgrace to his office, his state and himself.

I think this explains why Kerry chose to make his Vietnam war experience a part of the campaign. It is strategic, and the play is multi-card.

It is more than that. To Kerry, every exercise of US power in defense of our national interests is another Vietnam. The only "war" Kerry approves of is one approved by an international organization and in defense of human rights. Kerry and Kennedy are anachronisms that need to be thrown into the trash heap of history.

This is beyond politics and is sedition . Is it just by chance that MSNBC has a poll up right now asking if Iraq is Bush's Viet Nam? I am so angry I as seeing red rather than wearing it.

God Bless our troops who are risking their lives in spite of being told their CIC has betrayed the nation and sent them there to die for no reason. God help us when communists pose as democrats.

Kennedy is without honor, character, morals or truthfulness..

With Fat Ted - it's all about power..
With Swimmer Ted - it's all about being worshipped and having it his way..
With Drunk Ted - it's all about personal gratification...

Poor old Joe and Rose Kennedy -- even in death, must be horrified that Ted is the sole surviving son....

Good ole Ted -- a failure as a husband, a failure as a father, a failure as a Presidential candidate, a failure as a Senator, a failure as a man....

We should all hope that the networks give this evil sad man all the face time on TV possible... The more he rants and raves, the more obvious his insanity becomes..
