Sounds like he's angling for V.P. job.

The extent and consequences of McCain's war injuries and long captivity are becoming more apparent every day....

Biden and Lugar were just on the News Hour with Jim Lerher. I got the distinct feeling that Lugar is about to openly oppose the President over Iraq.

If Kerry were going to pick McCain as his VP he would have already announced it.
Kerry is playing a dangerous game of teasing the liberal press and keeping Dean and McCain licking his heels.<p.When he finally announces his decision, a lot of people are going to feel betrayed, including Hillary's fans.

McCain is the Republican version of Zell Miller. I think McCain deserves as much derision and contempt from Republicans as Zell gets from Democrats today.

Any chance we could swap McCain for Zell Miller?

I have been writing get us out of the U.N. letters to John McCain for years, he always responds with I love the U.N. and two pages of insane reasons why. He is the darling of the media because he kisses up to them, and talks like a Democrat. He won't switch partys because the media would stop loving him, he would be just one more liberal Democrat kissing up to them.

This guy better hope we never meet. I'll sic my mother-in-law on him.
She got a hold of LAPD Chief Bratton a few days ago, and he fled for his very sanity.

Several years ago, I was really impressed with John McCain. I thought he must be a real war hero, after all he had endured in Viet Nam. I began finding out as much as I could about him in the hope that he might run for president one day.
When I found out he cheated on his first wife (after she had waited on and prayed diligently for him during his years of imprisonment), then divorced her for an 18-years younger trophy wife, I thought to myself, If this guy will repay a woman that way, hell cheat on his country, too. Even he said it was a rotten thing to do to his first wife. (Hey! Said trophy wifes daddy also owned a beer factory; maybe that tipped the decision.)
That may be a shallow way to judge a mans character, but it DID seem to apply with Clinton, too. Just my opinion, which counts for nothing except to me.

"You can't fly in on an aircraft carrier and declare victory and have the deaths continue." But you can burn up the flight deck of your own aircraft carrier, then go below decks while other men die fighting the carnage your aircraft helped ignite.
McCain's "friendly" fire continues...

I am convinced McCain is reptile from the neck down.

GRRRR! The major combat part of the war WAS over! It is the Nation building that most of these liberals seem to adore that is going on now, and is the most dangerous part. But then, He knows this!!!

"You can't fly in on an aircraft carrier and declare victory and have the deaths continue. You can't do that..... What a stupid statement.
Saddam and his Govt were effectively removed from power. If McCain doesn't think that is a victory perhaps he should ask the families and friends of the 300,000 found in mass graves thanks to Saddam.
The idea that there would be no "deaths" in a middle eastern nation on the road to democracy is childish and naive.
Nobody should be surprised that the terrorists, the pro-Saddam groups and religious fanatics would raise hell in a post Saddam Iraq.
McCain and his whimpy Dem friends need to grow up and face reality.

I wish J D Hayworth would present him with a primary challenge. JD would definitely get my vote, my husband's vote, and every other Republican voting member of my family in AZ.

I never understood why nobody (to my knowledge) considered that McCain's time at the Hanoi Hilton really screwed up his head? Look at him - you can't honestly regard him as a friend of these United States.
