Morrocan Rugby Players Taunt USA over 911

All-

We arrived in Durban at 1:30 PM Sunday….thought the game was at 2PM and scrambled from the hotel to find it was actually at 4 PM match against Morocco. As sent yesterday, Eddie made the starting line up. Good thing for him because he would have had to reimburse his father and grandfather for the trip expenses.

We arrived at the field to much tension. Apparently the Moroccan players, staying at the same hotel as our boys, had been taunting the Americans for the previous two weeks. The Moroccans are French speaking Arabs. They had been teasing the boys about the 9-11 tragedy; gesturing airplanes flying into the trade center…and symbols of cutting their throats. There were also incidents of pushing on the elevator as well. Fortunately the boys did not engage prior to the game. Extra security was on hand at the game. IRB (International Rugby Board), the sponsor for the event was there in force as well and had selected some of the top officials to help control the game. Players and coaches from many other countries were pulling for the USA to take it to the Moroccans for their poor sportsmanship.

Both Sr and I are still hoarse from cheering our boys on. It was an absolute battle. Hitting was ferocious, but the USA dominated. They beat the hell out of the Moroccans and won the game 14-10. Three Moroccan players were taken off the field on stretchers.

Eddie played well, did exactly what they wanted him to do; disrupt up the other team’s rhythm by being very aggressive and making many tackles.

We are off this morning to find a hotel in a better neighborhood. Hotel is great if you do not leave it after dark. Also in search of a surf shop and some S African surf. Sr is looking for a golf course. Food is good and we are off….stay tuned..Go USA!

I hope everyone will excuse this bit of vanity but, I am posting this because of the taunting that he talks about in the e-mail.

I've been extremely lucky to have never heard anyone laughing about 9/11 in my presence. I have a wife, bills, etc., and I need to stay out of jail. Not kidding, I hope I never hear it, not sure how I'd react.
I'm glad we beat them. This BS happened in Mexico recently, the crowd was chanting "Osama". These people are our enemies. They hate the US, they laugh about 9/11 - we should kill them. What the hell good are enemies in such a dangerous world?

This needs to be pointed out to those who get their knickers in a bunch about how the world feels about America. The fact is, alot of the world would like to see us in our graves, and our military (and a FEW real good friends, like Britain, Israel, Poland,etc.) are all that keeps it from happening.

Here in North Texas, we have lots of scorpions, but we know how to deal with them and other vermin - like Moroccans!

On April 28th, I'll be going to the Cotton Bowl in Dallas to see the US men's soccer team take on our rivals south of the border. In the previous two matches US played in Mexico (against Canada and against Mexico) the Mexico fans shouted "Osama!" I expect much of the same at this game.
