Yes, but the Pat-bashers are blind to history and lack even common sense. You could say "Pat" Boone in their presence and they would go off in the tirade that automatically follows their knee-jerk reaction to the letters P-a-t.
They've been totally conditioned to this response by the same people that hijacked their party.
Well, i am not one to call a person a racist, unless the person is ole' Pat. Maybe i am viewing his article with a jaundiced eye, but it would seem that he has sprinkled it with some insinuations that are questionable at best.
For example: Have a look at the following and explain to me what he means by the 'cultural revolution of the '60s' that took 'that America away forever.' I doubt he is referring to the birth control pill. If i was a betting man i'd bet he is referring to the civil rights movement.
In 1960, when JFK defeated Nixon, America was a nation of 160 million, 90 percent white and 10 percent black, with a few million Hispanics and Asians sprinkled among us. We were one nation, one people. We worshipped the same God, spoke the same English language, studied American history and English literature, honored the same heroes, read the same books, watched the same TV shows, went to the same movies and saw ourselves as defenders of Western civilization against the godless communism of the Soviet Empire. We were confident and proud of who we were. That was yesterday. But due to the Immigration Act of 1965 and the cultural revolution of the '60s, that America is now gone forever.
Of course not, he chose a black lady for a running mate.
Oops, sorry ... I forgot, she was a "communist". (/sarcasm)
The "great melting pot" was an invention of the 1920s and was promoted by the liberals of the time. It would after all, be easier to initiate Socialism if we united as "one people." The Right at the time supported immigration restrictions, but could care less what happened in the respective ethnic communities. The leading antiimmigrant group of the time (one that had one of the largest marches on DC in history in the 1920s) had no desire to assimilate the "Koons, Kikes and Katholics," if you know what I mean.
You mean like what happened to the Roman Empire?
Well said!
Both my family and my husband's family have been in America so long that we really aren't sure where they came from. It doesn't matter in the slightest because they did not cling to "the old world". They adapted to America and raised they children and all future generations to be proud Americans. Sadly, that isn't happening today. It truly is the Balkanization of America.
