Poll: More Now Believe Jews Killed Jesus

The percentage of Americans who believe Jews were responsible for killing Jesus has grown in recent years, although it remains a view held by a minority of people, according to a poll released Friday.

The survey by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press found 26 percent of respondents believe Jews were to blame for the Crucifixion, up from 19 percent in ABC News poll in 1997.

The greatest increase was among young people and blacks.

The Pew survey did not ask whether respondents believe Jews today should be blamed for the Crucifixon. But they noted that an ABC poll this year found an overwhelming majority of people rejected that view.

Of course it was Jesus' destiny to die on the cross.

OF course it doesn't matter who "killed" him.

But if the media can't make Jews fear their Evangelical Christian brothers, then they can't insure that Jews vote for the Democrats. That is what this is all about. Real Jews love their Christian friends and do not patronize or insult their faith (as JINOs such as Foxman and Safire do). Real Jews know that the George W. Bush is the best friend Israel has ever had. Real Jews will not permit Christians and Jews to be divided by our common enemies--Islam and the Far Left.

So Jews must be SCARED into voting Democrat. Otherwise the GOP will sweep yet again. And they cannot allow this to happen.

But it will. Real Jews love George W. Bush and will vite for him in greater numbers than ever on Nov. 2.

It is an issue because during the crusades and the inquisition, and at many other times it was popular to justify one's negative actions towards Jews by blaming them for Jesus' death. The Jews have an almost institutional memory of this perversion.

The truth is very close to what you have stated rageaholic. According to the gospels Jesus died willingly and there is a very real sense in which we all killed Jesus.

Mel Gibson is to be praised for his desire to remain true to the written record.

There is more proof that the historical Jesus died of old age than there is that the mythical Jesus died on the cross.

It's just a movie that does no harm to anyone, historical or mythical. If it caused anti semitism we'd be seeing the results of that.
