[history]
Gerald Stanhill was reviewing solar radiation records in the late 1980s when he stumbled onto something that amazed him: Days were growing dimmer.
"It was difficult to believe," said Stanhill, an Israeli government scientist. "So I started looking around for other continuous, long series of solar radiation measurements to make sure it wasn't an error."

I'm reminded of a line from Tori Amos:

EXAMPLE OF ANTHROPIC PRINCIPLE

The holy centaurs of the hills are vanished;
I have nothing but the embittered sun;
Banished heroic mother moon and vanished,
And now that I have come to fifty years
I must endure the timid sun.

"It's an interesting phenomenon, but maybe it's a bit premature to call it global." NO! We must do something, anything, NOW before we have all the facts!
Hurry! Make signs, protest something and do your part!
Remember the environmentalist's motto: Think locally, act globally!

But what about the rise in skin cancer caused by the suns rays being stronger. Have they been lying to us about that?
How do you measure the intensity of sunshine 30 years ago? How do you measure the rate of evaporation 30 years ago?
To: w1andsodidwe
The skin cancer is coming from the radioactive coolant that Russian satellites have been leaking all over Earth orbit.

Russian/Soviet RORSATs were nuclear powered and their leaked radioactive coolant has damaged satellites and experiments in the past. This is a real story BTW!

I would really like to see proof that people have been sitting around measuring water evaporation from open pans over the past 30 years. The mind boggles. The Fed. Gov't would have had to have been behind this one, no matter where. Then they didn't notice it until now!

Between global warming and global dimming, which should result in global cooling, we ought to be just right. ; )

Higher relative humidity slows evaporation too.
Why is it the latest environmental theories sound like O Suzanna?
It rained all night the day I left, the weather it was dry
The sun so hot, I froze to death Suzanna don't you cry.
