US Promises to Punish Those Responsible for Gruesome Iraq Attacks

The top U.S. official in Iraq says Wednesday's gruesome attacks on four American civilians whose burned bodies were put on display in the town of Fallujah will not go unpunished.

"It's going to be deliberate, it will be precise and it will be overwhelming," U.S. General Mark Kimmitt said, speaking to reporters in Baghdad. He warned insurgents in the town of Fallujah to be prepared for U.S. forces to strike back following Wednesday's killing of four American contractors by a frenzied mob that dragged their charred bodies through the streets.

Televised footage of the act has provoked outrage from Americans in the United States and led U.S. administrator in Baghdad Paul Bremer to issue a warning.

"Their deaths will not go unpunished," he promised.

The White House blamed the attacks on supporters of Saddam Hussein. The remains of the four were to be turned over to the U.S. military.

A day after the attack, three American soldiers were injured in another attack near Fallujah, this time when their Humvee struck a roadside bomb.

Irish Catholics and Irish Prostestants are not asking to have religious ceremonies held in mosques. The Islamics are trying to overtake Catholic Churches in the name of everyone getting along..etc. The only thing they want is to claim lands and religious sites for Islam and Allah, both in Europe, Africa, Asia, South America and here in the U.S.

Name any other group, religious or otherwise, who has caused so much discord, death and mayhem on every continent. Also quote for me the names of major mullahs of Islam who have come out and publically denounced the use of bombings and terror with regard to 9/11, Bali, or Israel. Please also find a quote from the Quaran that promotes love or peace.

All Muslims may not be terrorists, but all Muslims who are following their faith believe that those who are not Muslim are infadels and should be converted or killed....that is a fact that is promoted in their Quaran.

This is right before the Lincoln Tunnel

Due To Overturned Fuel Tanker, Route 46 In Clifton, NJ Closed In Both Directions

(Clifton, NJ-WABC, April 21, 2004) — Route 46 in Clifton is now closed in both directions after a tanker hauling five thousand gallons of kerosene went out of control and tipped over. This situation means that commuters may be in for some lengthy traffic delays.

Around 6:00 a.m. this morning, the roadway went from a relatively empty roadway to a traffic nightmare. People did not know that this roadway is closed.

If you normally commute from Routes 46 or Route 3, give yourself plenty of extra travel time. Around 1:30 a.m. this morning, a tanker hauling 5000 gallons of kerosene or diesel fuel overturned on the westbound side of Route 46 between Valley Road and Grove Street in Clifton. As a result, Route 46 is closed in both directions.

Authorities are now looking into the possibility that a pickup truck may have struck the tanker before fleeing the scene. The driver of the tanker was hurt and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. He is expected to be all right.

The company that owns the tanker has another truck on scene that is off loading about 3000 gallons of fuel that remain in the overturned hauler. Now, the overturned tanker must be heavy-towed out of the area.

Officials believe 2000 gallons of fuel have already flowed down area sewers. They are using sewer maps to determine where that fuel may have gone.

Emergency vehicles are on the scene trying to take care of the area that is an absolute mess. If you can, avoid Route 46 and Route 3 through the Clifton, NJ this morning, especially for commuters that want to use the Lincoln Tunnel to get into New York City.

On the eastbound side of Route 46, officials are diverting traffic off of the roadway around a big local detour from Grove Street and you will follow that road until you get back on Route 3 in Clifton.

Here is an alternate route for commuters. You want to take Route 280 into Interstate 80 and go all the way to the George Washington Bridge. Today, the Lincoln Tunnel is not the best route into the city.

Actually not that close to the Savannah River Nuclear plant. That is near North Augusta, SC, and is approximately 150 miles away.

Just got in and saw your post. Death toll at 10 now. Would have been much worse had they not intercepted those two SUVs packed with explosives several days ago.

That's a great analogy. I think you're spot-on.

This is, indeed, War and it's time we cut the PC crap, tightened our belts and demonstrated that we're not a country of peoples to be messed with.

Interesting finds. Kudos to all the analysts working so hard to find these "dots".

Thinking out loud: Where is the Kitty Hawk scheduled to be on June 23rd?

UPDATE

Oil tanker's theft raises concerns
Authorities worried over terrorism possibility start nationwide search for the missing truck

Wednesday, April 21, 2004

BY ROBERT RUDOLPH
Star-Ledger Staff
Federal, state and local authorities have launched a nationwide hunt for a fuel-oil tanker truck that vanished from a South Jersey truck terminal last week.

Authorities said the theft has raised alarms because of the ability of terrorist groups to turn such trucks into powerful bombs, similar to ones used in previous bombings in the Middle East and elsewhere in the world.

FBI spokeswoman Linda Vizi said authorities have received no threats or direct intelligence reports relating to the missing truck, but stressed that the disappearance remains a cause for concern.

"We don't know what the motive was behind the theft," Vizi said, but added, "We're doing everything we can to find it.

"We don't want the public to be scared," she said, noting that the truck may simply have been stolen for parts, but emphasized that officials are seeking the public's help in tracing the vehicle.

Vizi said the local FBI office had contacted agency headquarters in Washington to put out a nationwide alert to determine if the disappearance was part of a broader pattern.

"It could be anywhere," Vizi said. "It could be in California by now."

At the same time, Roger Shatzkin, a spokesman for the New Jersey Office of Counter-terrorism, said that agency has asked all New Jersey law enforcement officials, from state to county to local, to join in the search for the truck.

"We have contacted all county counter-terrorism representatives," Shatzkin said. He emphasized that there have been no direct threats, but noted, "We feel we just have to take that extra precaution."

New Jersey-based FBI Joint Terrorism Agent Bill Evanina said bulletins had been sent out last week as soon as workers realized the chrome-covered tanker was gone, but said there have been no leads to date.

Evanina noted, however, that authorities have expressed similar concerns over reports of stolen ambulances, dump trucks and even school buses, any one of which could be turned into a delivery agent for explosives.

The missing tanker was described as a light-colored Fruehauf tanker with the name "TK Transport" in large green letters on its side. The truck had a New Jersey license plate, T852SC, at the time of the disappearance.

Vizi said the vehicle disappeared from the parking lot at the TK Transport Terminal in Pennsauken between April 7 and 10.

Pennsauken police Capt. Earl Griffin said it was a few days before workers at the facility realized it was gone. He said the truck, which had recently been refurbished, was empty at the time of the disappearance.

Vizi said this particular truck did not have a valid federal inspection sticker, which would prevent it from being filled at any legitimate supply depot.

Authorities noted that the same company has other trucks on the road but urged anyone with information to call their local 911 number, the State Police, the FBI or the New Jersey Office of Counter-terrorism.

CORRECT. And the ones who don't pull the trigger lend their support by their silence and in private with their fellow murderers/ It's just a fact, uncomforatble as it may feel. Sometimes we just have to deal with unpleasantries outside the realm of humanaity.

Authorities are now looking into the possibility that a pickup truck may have struck the tanker [intentionally] before fleeing the scene...and I'm sure they'll add later that it was not connected with terrorism and will fail to mention the ethnicity of the pu driver.
