Moms Plan Second D.C. March on Mother's Day
3/31/2004
Participants in the Million Mom March will reconvene in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, May 9, as part of a three-day event that also features a "Blacklist Ball" on May 8 and lobbying on May 10, the Eden Prairie Sun reported March 25.
The first march, held on Mother's Day in 2000, attracted some 750,000 people. (Dan: Bull$hit)
Eileen Collard of Minneapolis, who attended the 2000 event, said this year's Million Mom March would focus on renewing and strengthening the federal assault-weapons ban and raising awareness of suicide and domestic violence, the two common causes of gun deaths.
Also a priority this year, said Collard, will be honoring gun victims killed since the last Million Mom March. The number of victims is at least 120,000, of which about 13,000 were children, she said.

The first march, held on Mother's Day in 2000, attracted some 750,000 people. The organizers of these things traditionally overestimate the number of people who showed up, but this is ridiculous even by those standards.
And this next MMM certainly won't be as big as the last one. Remember, the Clinton White House organized the 2000 MMM as a "Vote Gore/Vote Hillary" rally, and only put in that thing about the guns to get the useful idiots motivated. This one is actually going to be about gun control, which has become a losing issue for the RATS.

...and raising awareness of........the fact that children considered to be infants, newborn to five years old are more likely to be killed, accidentally or purposely, by their MOM'S, than by any other cause, including guns.

After seeing the ridiculous hype associated with the 2000 event, my wife, who is not given to precipitous action, immediately joined the NRA. I was very surprised and very proud.
We live in Richmond, VA, and the mayor authorized public funds to be used to charter busses to haul some of these morons up to DC. When it became public knowledge, there was such a stink raised that he had to rescind the appropriation and pay for the busses out of his own pocket. We loved that turn of events, and I bet they won't try it again this year.

The number of victims is at least 120,000, of which about 13,000 were children, she said. And more than 60,000 were suicides, who would have killed themselves by different means if guns weren't available, and a majority of the homicides were criminal drug gang members killing each other off in turf wars, which perform a valuable public service. Oh, and the "children" number is mostly late-teen gang members, up to age 19; use of an honest measure of "children" (0-14 years old) sends the number down to about 1600 about 400 a year.
Furthermore, some 10,000,000 crimes have been thwarted by civilian gun owners since the last MMM, including a probable 200,000 murders that didn't happen because the intended victims were armed. Almost all of these have been made possible by the facts of widespread civilian gun ownership, the concealbility and ease of use of handguns, and shall-issue concealed carry and no-permit concealed carry legislation at the state level - all of which you Million Morons are trying to restrict or prohibit.

I propose a Million Middle Class White Man March.
We will gather in DC or our hometowns and show our solidarity for the second amendment, Family values, low taxes and protest affirmative action.
We will come out in force and show ourselves as a major voting block and that we will only vote for the representatives that share our views.
We have been repressed long enough. Socialism wants to destroy white middle class America. Time to fight back.
Anyone wanna propose a date and strategy? Because I have no clue how to do this.
