Surround it first. Take NO prisoners. NO one gets out alive.....THEN level it.

That's my question, too. Fallujah is the Iraqi version of Jenin, a den of... "steenking evil", so to speak.

Heck yes!

The Germans did the same to Warsaw in 1944. < /sarcasm>

" . . . . Why doesn't the U.S. Military just go ahead and level it?"

Seriously, to what end?

He "called for" that on his radio show. Tell every to get out of town. Make a sweep and inventory the weapons, kill anybody who stayed behind. Then raze the town.

For most this will mean that we should go home. This event only reinforces why we went there and why we must stay. If we left after this it would give the wrong message to the terrorists and the world.

God bless the US military and may He comfort those families who lost loved ones.

When everyone in a village supports terrorism, the police are useless because they also support the terrorists.

The only real solution in that case is to level the whole village. It's not politically correct, but it works because it gives every person in the village a personal stake in maintaining respect for the law in their communities.

If a majority of the villagers don't want to lose their own houses, they'll make sure to have an effective police force that cracks down on terrorists instead of providing them aid and comfort.

The US should announce for everyone in Falujah to leave their houses within 48 hours, when a MOAB will demolish the area. One less terrorist stronghold, and a positive example for all other Arabs harboring terrorists.

Destroying the houses of the individual terrorists doesn't address the underlying problem, and misses the forest for the individual trees. The problem is the whole diseased community. The Arabs appear to need more incentive to have their communities reject terrorists rather than embrace them.

This isn't "collective punishment" that punishes the entire community for the acts of a few individuals. The community itself is guilty of harboring, fostering, and inciting terrorism.

Yes, how dare the dogs oppose us! We shall level their pitiful village just as Saddam leveled the villages of his enemies.

I understood that the reason we didn't want to turn Iraq over to the Iraqis immediately was that we were afraid the SHiites would take advantage of their majority status to slaughter the Sunnis and we wanted democratic forces at work. Maybe the Sunnis shouldn't be protected after all and the transition should be shorter. Let the Shiites do their worst.

In my view, O'Reily is a nut case, a selfish, egotistical, power hungry, self-serving, two faced loud mouth that Fox should have dumped a long time ago. Heck, when he is on, I flip the channel to CNN and I hate myself for that. BUT, on this one....he is right. Of course, I haven't seen the details of his actual "opine" on this as yet.

Cut it off and kill it. Then the first one that complains, cut it off and kill it too, and so on, and so on.....Sooner or later, the morons should get the message or they just wont exist anymore...........a win, win to me!

IIRC the neutron bomb kills all organic life within its kill area but leaves all buildings intact for later use. I don't know why that popped into my head though.

Hey, leveling the dump works for me. It would make a powerful statement, which is what those miscreants need.

I agree. Level the damned place and plow the land with salt. I hope that we at least impose martial law, curfews and shoot to kill any sunni bastard who fails to follow the rules. No questions asked.
