O'Reilly to call for the leveling of Fallujah?

Foxnews host Bill O'Reilly just previewed his show. "Problems continue for the U.S. Military in Fallujah. Why doesn't the U.S. Military just go ahead and level it?"

I have to say that I agree with Bill. Level the place.

He's not wanting to committ an atrocity. He wants to prevent future ones. The ONLY way to do it is to level the town.

*sigh* I take it you can't define innocent in such a way as it supports your preconceived notions.

Guilty means those directly responsible for the murder, and abuse of the bodies of those American civilians. Those who provided the materiels used in the attack, supplied the intelligence used to set up the attack, had foreknowledge of the attack and did nothing to prevent it, know the perpetrators and don't turn them in, cheered on the attack, celebrated the deaths and mutilations, seek to one day kill more Americans, support those who do, raise their children to hate and kill Americans, want to enslave or kill anyone who doesn't convert to their system of beliefs, and their potential heirs, successors, and assigns.

Remember the LA riots. When Reginald Denny was taken out of his truck by black guys and they almost killed him?

All those bad guys happened to be black. To some it might have made sense to go after all the black guys. Which didn't make any sense because the guy that saved Denny was black.

Eventually we will get the bad guys. BTW, one of the guys that beat Denny was later shot to death in an LA night club. Karma.

True.. And we won't hear about the victorious heroic stealth up-rooting activities that probably occurs daily. While stories of immoral torchers of Americans become magnified in our minds we must remember we are moral, we have principles. It is our weakness in their eyes. The only thing they fear is dominace. The only way to do that is to level the country, but we're not about to do that. That's because we in America have a tradition of protecting innocents - not slaughtering them.

I kind of felt this way as well about the Muslim culture of death there in Iraq where they killed and dragged the bodies of those 4 people around.

I said to one friend, "In what other culture do we ever find that kind of thing happening, you really don't", then my very educated buddy said, "Sure, Texas where those white guys dragged that one black guy behind the car and down the road".

"That wasn't a whole city", I exclaimed.

"Doesn't matter, there are crazies in every culture and place" my friend replied.

I have to say my friend made a good and reasonable point. We just can't level that whole town.

We have told the world that we are not in Iraq as conquerors, but there to depose a tyrannical regime. Yet the vast majority of this thread literally begs to repeat the actions of the tyrant that we deposed.

Four men were killed - and the Freepers cry out to kill thousands in response - because it is the only thing "they" will understand, because it will keep other terrorists from doing the same thing, because it is what needs to be done.

And when more Americans die while executing this plan, what then? Will you blame the next town down the road and then destroy it as well? Why not all towns within fifty miles of Fallujah?

Better yet - let's round up all the kids in the town, take them to a camp, and start sending back bits and pieces until the town gives up its terrorists. We can take video of US forces running them through chipper/shredders and send it back to the families. Then, we can build a huge wall around the city, and drop plague virus in it, and offer vaccinations for anyone who turns in a terrorist. Then, once everyone is dead, we'll use the wall as concrete forms and just fill it in as a landing pad for helicopters.
