"Damit. My youngest son just came in earlier this evening and announced he is enlisting. My middle son finished his Marine hitch and now I have another on the way.

My middle kid chose the Marines which was not a real surprise, he is also a bull rider, Michael chooses the Army which is no surprise since he lives and breaths computers and they dazzled him with the technology he could train on..

Well I told him it was his decision and that I supported him. He is a levelheaded kid and he thinks things through. He has been considering this for over a year now. He goes for his physical next Monday.

Heavenly Father, we ask that You hold our troops "tightly" in Your loving Hands, keeping them from all harm, as they so selflessly protect us!!! We thank You Lord for giving us such as these... truly You have blessed us!!! Totally cover them in Your Love and surround them in blankets of our prayers, be with their families.

I asked the Lord to Bless you
as I pray for you today
to guide you and protect you
as you go along your way.

His love is always with you
His promises are true,
And when we give him all our cares
You know He will see you through.

So when the road you're traveling on
Seems difficult at best
Just remember I'm praying
and God will do the rest. Amen

Once the shock wears off your pride will shine though. He is no longer your little boy but a man who will not fail you.

Texokie and the prayer warriors have you in good hands, Lord knows I needed them this past year and they never turned me away.

I don't know what Texasforever said to hurt or offend you, but may I gently remind you that your prayers aren't likely to be heard anyway with an attitude like that? God requires us even to pray for our enemies, and it's probably as much for our own benefit as for that of our enemies. Surely you can repent of those ill feelings and muster a prayer for a young man who is sacrificing his safety on behalf of yours...and is his daddy really your enemy?

God bless,

He poked fun at me for having depression problems and epilepsy, when I was not even talking to him. He's a real work, this guy. And I could care less that his evil attitudes are biting him.

Start there and look at his replies.

This is the kind of guy that laughs at those who are down on their luck.. So, I laugh back.

What a crappy thing to say; can't you leave your pettiness aside for people's CHILDREN?

It's just the internet, you know, or did you think this is real life?

Leaving aside the fact that his sons are fighting for YOUR freedom to sit at that computer and post that drivel, you had the OPTION of not clicking on this thread and making those remarks; the fact that you chose to and chose to make that horrid statement says a lot more about you than anything he could have said about you.

I empathize with you. It's no fun having depression. Some people don't understand. But two wrongs don't make a right, especially when the love one is going in harms way.

I'll add my prayers. Thank you for raising two such fine young men, and thank them for their service to our country. They will remain in my prayers until they are safely home with you again.
