WHAT is it with celebrities and religion at the moment? ALANIS MORISSETTE has got herself ordained as a minister.
The Canadian singer did a short Internet course which allows her to conduct marriages and she plans to help same-sex couples tie the knot.
She said: I want to marry some of my gay couple friends.
It follows news that DECLAN DONNELLY has announced he will dress as a priest to help conduct his best mates nuptials this summer.
And two years ago ROBBIE WILLIAMS became an ordained minister with an online church to legally marry pal BILLY MORRISON from The Cult.

Fortunately God does not recognize these unholy unions, nor are these "ordinations" of any eternal worth. These pagans pretending to be what they are not are going to hell.

I should amend my previous reply to emphasize that these people CAN repent and turn from their wickedness and call on Jesus Christ to save them. God is in the business of forgiveness for those who come to Him.

Look on the bright side, maybe she'll be so busy pseudo marrying gays that she won't have any time to put out more crummy nineties retro dope head music

Attention all Freepers:
You too can become an ordained minister (with all the benefits and trappings) just like Alanis! Once ordained, feel free to marry anyone to anything(s)! Go here for details:

I downloaded her new pre-release single from iTunes last night. Now I'm not sure if I want to buy the album. Her music is OK, but like so many celebrities, she takes herself seriously. She's a product, no different than hamburgers or Pepsi. She should work on turning out good tunes and leave performing marriages to qualified people, and making political statements to people who aren't coddled, spoiled, half-wit celebrities. Shake your ass, sing your song, then SHUT UP!

This is all about publicity - her album sales have declined since she released "Jagged Little Pill" back in 1995. She's releasing a new album in April.

She said: I want to marry some of my gay couple friends. Maybe we misunderstand: Perhaps to wants to "marry" her gay friends, as in become wedded to them. After all, if we allow gay marriage, why not allow her to be the third spouse in a three-way marriage?

Wow. Alanis has become irrelevant much quicker than I figured she would.
All hail Britney, Xtina, and Hilary Duff. </sarcasm, of course!>

Yep. Just a glance at her on "Star Search" a few years before "Jagged Little Pill" was released demonstrates what you are saying.
Loved that big hair!....ROTFL!

To be fair, that CD was such a monster, there was no way anyone expected her to come close to duplicating it. It's like when Fleetwood Mac's durn-near-perfect pop-rock work Rumours broke all existing LP sales records -- they knew whatever came after was going to be judged a failure regardless of its quality.
For the record, the Mac's next one was Tusk, an experimental dual LP that sold a fraction of the totals for Rumours.

But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars SEARED in their own conscience as with a branding iron, men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods,....1 Timothy 4:1-3
..makes me really wonder where ALL this is going to LEAD to?

"It's really funny to watch clips of Alanis getting green slime poured over her head on Nickelodeon. It's almost her singing career is her Sissy Spacek-like reaction (in Carrie) after blood was poured on her.

I've heard about that Nicolodean thing with Morrisette, but never seen it (no kids in my household).
I can't help but laugh every time she tries to assume the posture of a "struggling artist made good". Fact is, this woman has been traveling by limo for well over a decade.
Its almost as amusing as Jewel's attempting to explain that she lived in a car with her mom cause they had no money for rent....yet was able to come up with $20K for breast implants.....(grin)
Almost as amusing.....

Since she will not shut up and sing, don't listen to her message at all. Shun her.

About six years ago, I watched as my male dog married our newly-adopted female bitch; they've been happy ever since.
