Very true. A book you might like is "Civilization and Its Enemies," by Lee Harris. He was the one who wrote the excellent essay on the "fantasy ideology" of Al Qaeda. Here's a quote:
"..the enemy always hates us for a reason, [but] it is his reason and not ours."
Neither we nor the Russians actually did anything that made either one of us more "hateable" than the other. The enemy, Islam, is hating us for its reasons (which are not based on actual reason), and not for ours or for reasons that would make sense to us.

The Wahhabis killed and tortured their competitors i.e. other brands of Muslims since they entered a joint venture with the House of Saud in 1747. If it was not for the oil-dollars from Saudi Arabia that the "royal" family is stealing from the country and using as their own pocket money for spreading the sectarian views of Wahhabi/salafist Islam we would not have this problem with the Muslims. Truer words were never posted.

Read it already and it was quite good. YOu might try reading "The Middle East - a brief history of the last 2,000 years" by Bernard Lewis, or anything by Victor Davis Hanson. Both men are spot on in tyheir evaluations of Islam and what it stands for today.
