In 7:25 break, anchor reported "Terri Schiavo was rushed to a Pinellas County emergency room last night after nursing home staff noticed puncture wounds on her arm. The wounds appeared to be caused by a hypodermic needle! Toxicology tests were conducted but the results are not available yet!"

This could open a huge new round in this case. What did tests reveal? Who was last person in room? When was husband there? Was staffer trying the Angle of Death routine?

This will be developing hard all day!

The Schindlers referred calls Tuesday to attorney George Tragos, who said it would be ``absurd'' to suggest that her parents were somehow responsible.

"It's just another mean-spirited attack designed to get some judicial advantage,'' Tragos said.

Tragos said the Schindlers reported that their daughter was clean, dressed in street clothes and sitting up when they left.

Also on Monday, Circuit Judge George Greer denied a motion filed by the Schindlers seeking to have Michael Schiavo defend himself in a hearing against charges that he is not sharing sufficient medical information about his wife with her parents.

The Schindlers say he has violated a 1996 court order requiring him to share the information. He countered that he has shared sufficient information with them through attorneys.

Then came the malpractice trial, at which he testified that he wanted to spend the rest of his life to help her get well. Then came the money. And then came Felos.

What I've seen so far is that both sides are engaged in deception and grandstanding. There are no good guys in this farce; only various shades of villain.

The parents say that even if Terri had told them explicitly to remove her feeding tube, they would keep her feeding tube against her own wishes.

Furthermore, the parents would not remove Terri’s feeding tube even Terri had her limbs amputated. They would still not respect her desire to have her tubes removed if she had gangrene and all her arms and legs were cut off.

According to the Wolfson Report, (page 16) provided to Governor Jeb Bush by Court-Appointed Guardian Jay Wolfson, the Schindlers have no desire to respect Terri’s wishes not to be kept alive in a vegetative state.

Testimony provided by members of the Schindler family included very personal statements about their desire to ensure that Theresa remain alive. Throughout the course of the litigation, deposition and trial testimony by members of the Schindler family voiced the disturbing belief that they would keep Theresa alive at any and all costs. Nearly gruesome examples were given, eliciting agreement by family members that in the event Theresa should contract diabetes and subsequent gangrene in each of her limbs, they would agree to amputate each limb, and would then, were she to be diagnosed with heart disease, perform open heart surgery.

There was additional difficult testimony that appeared to established that despite the sad and undesirable condition of Theresa, the parents still derived joy from having her alive, even if Theresa might not be at all aware of her environment given the persistent vegetative state.

Within the testimony, as part of the hypotheticals presented, Schindler family members stated that even if Theresa had told them of her intention to have artificial nutrition withdrawn, they would not do it. Throughout this painful and difficult trial, the family acknowledged that Theresa was in a diagnosed persistent vegetative state.

When people are so fanatical, they raise significant questions about their ability for rational decisions.

Let's not forget that in 1996 Michael asked Jodi to marry him, while Terri still had 45 MORE years of life expectancy, and Michael had NO INTENTION of divorce. It was also 1996 that Michael tried to kill Terri by insulin injection.

It took another 2 or 3 YEARS after THAT for Michael to finally 'remember' that Terri said she preferred death over an inconspicuous feeding tube under her clothing.

(the local P.D. wasn't interested in investigating THEN, but now that an investigation favors Michael's agenda, watch for the P.D. to stretch it out for MONTHS)

BY THE WAY, Dr. Hammesfahr WON THE CASE YOU POSTED ON APPEAL. It was reversed because there was not "clear and convincing evidence". SECOND DCA. I have downloaded the appeal reversal but it's PDA format.
