Just wanted to post pictures of my new Baby Girl!
My wife was found to be suffering from Preeclampsia and the baby didn't have much amniotic fluid (would up even less!). Early delivery (32 weeks)was an absolute must for both Mommy and Baby.
Baby and Mommy are doing great!
Anna Elizabeth was born approximately 1:30 PM via C-section and weighs 3 lbs 11 oz.
Praise the Lord for the strenght he have us all and most especially to Baby Anna. Anna will get to come home when she reaches 4.5 lbs and is eating properly.
The Dr. is already backing off on the oxygen, as she is breathing very well on her own.
And the proud daddy with Baby Anna!

What great news indeed! My 5 year old thinks she is so cute! And all that hair--my first (the 5 y.o.) had curly black hair at birth, but now has curly blond hair.
I am relieved to hear that all is going well. Tell your wife to get lots of rest and enjoy that little girl!

The docs have her on a bilirubin light? For possible jaundice? Hope everything is OK!

Yes - although her level is low (9). According to all those in the NICU, full-term babies are not even treated if their level is below 10.
Latest update:
Wife is home - and doing well, other than separation related depression.
Little Anna is doing very well. Pulse Oxygen levels are remaining right where they belong and they have almost completely ended sedation. Her morning x-ray showed some fluid remaing in her little lungs, so she will stay on the vent probably until tomorrow.
Otherwise - all seems well.
Thanks to all Freepers who have been praying and sending kind words and wisdom.

Awesomely beautiful little baby girl you have there (of course not as beautiful as mine but you'll say that same thing to other fathers too)
I love the healthy pink glow of her. Looks far better than any preemie I've ever seen.
Several posters have stated that you won't get much sleep. I hope and pray that your Anna will be like my Autumn. Slept through the night from the second week. (although your little one will need more feedings but she'll grow fast)
Hold her as much as you possibly can during these early days. It seems like just yesterday that I was in the hospital holding my little one and now she's almost 4. Time flies.
God bless you and Anna and mommy, and keep you all safe and healthy

Update on our baby Anna....
We got to the hospital and found out she's off the vent. She is doing very well, with all numbers stable right where they should be. If all remains good, they will begin feeding her tomorrow (Saturday).
Some more pictures for those who enjoy them:

By the way, one of my sisters weighed only 2 lbs. 16 oz. at birth over 40 years ago. The doctor didn't even know she was there --- her twin sister was born 5 minutes earlier. She's as feisty as ever. With all the medical advances that have occurred over the years I don't think you need to worry about her being a preemie!

Congrats! This is the best time of your life!I dunno about that. I thought every day got better with my daughter. (till she got to the 11th grade and it was rough for a while!) But really it gets better and better - especially when they start to communicate - it's wonderful.
Congratulations. A beautiful baby. Anna is a beautiful name.
