I wouldn't know exactly where the wires are, but maybe he should be a bit lower?

Glad you were praying. With all of the Clarke lies out there making us look weak and stupid, I think more prayer is in order. So irresponsible of the Intel committee and certain unAmerican (IMO) Senators and media.

"Did Debka weigh in on this yet?"
Yes! Debka is claiming three divisions of Chinese soldiers have just crossed the Afghan border in support of the operation! </sarcasm>

LOL, that IS the most relevant measure, isn't it? But do you rate NEIN as being worse than John Loftus? Maybe we should just lump the Three Stooges of intelligence together: Debka, NEIN and John Loftus.

I replied to your earlier post before seeing all that followed.
It is not just getting past any marine guards. There are activation codes, two-man control, etc. involved with nukes. I don't know specifics about nuclear storage on a carrier, but having some idea how that is done in other contexts, I find it highly implausible that several infiltrators could go undetected while conspiring to be on duty together at the same time, then executing such an operation, being successful, and having some internet poster accurately predicting its success 24 hours ahead of time.
In addition, the services have not only extensive background checks for those having access, but also on-going personnel reliability programs to monitor behavior. At least they did in the past. Even something as seemingly innocuous as taking a prescription drug used to be enough to get you at least temporarily disqualified to have certain duties/access.
The U.S. services have well over 50 years of experience controlling nuclear weapons. It is extremely serious business that many, many professionals are well trained in.

My instinct tells me this isn't too credible - what in AQ's arsenal could possibly get close enough to an aircraft carrier that could destroy it?Maybe they plan on recruiting the mighty Haitian Navy.

The name loftus isn't ringing a bell. Is he affiliated with an organization? It's so hard to keep this whackos, er, I mean "dedicated individuals" straight.

does anyone here read Arabic?
I did a google search of some of the key words and found this article. The original post/date was January 17, 2003. (1423/11/14) I don't know why it would have been reposted yesterday, though.

please read this article about Russian jets overlying the USS Kitty Hawk while she was refueling underway in the Sea of Japan. That was in October 2000. When Clinton was in office. Before 9-11.
I feel sorry for anyone who tries it now.
----
A pair of Russian warplanes that made at least three high-speed passes over a U.S. aircraft carrier stationed in the Sea of Japan in October constituted a much more serious threat than the Pentagon has admitted and were easily in a position to destroy the ship if the planes had had hostile intentions, say Navy personnel.
According to reports, a Russian air force Su-24 "Fencer" accompanied by an Su-27 "Flanker" made unopposed passes over the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) on Oct. 9, as the carrier was being refueled...
...The Clinton administration downplayed the incident...

You don't suppose North Korea might be involved some way? Either they supplied terrorists with weapons or they just might do something themselves.
U.S. War Moves Threatening Humankind's Existence
Pyongyang, March 29 (KCNA)
-- The U.S. imperialists, who are obsessed by world supremacy, are pushing ahead with preparations for a genetic and biological warfare in real earnest to exterminate other nations. It was exposed some time ago by Hatman, a famous writer and journalist of the United States.
According to him, the U.S. administration has worked out a plan for the "new century" while fundamentally reorganizing the U.S. forces so that the Anglo-Saxon race may exterminate other races and dominate the world through unconventional wars under the name of "military revolution" based on the up-to-date science and has hastened preparations for genetic and biological warfare in secret. As instructed by the U.S. administration, many nuclear centers have long been engaged in research into genetics of races and their destruction and the Department of Defence and other special institutions of the United States have deepened the study of "artificial selection of human beings" by "genetic bombs".
This fact is enough to unveil the true colors of the U.S. imperialists as the most horrible human killers and wreckers of the world peace.
