Hope he gets to where he is going and find 72 lice ridden bearded men saying its his turn in the barrel and that there was a typo.

If this article contains the truth, then having Omar survive is a big letdown.

Yup but the difference here is that it is US air power rather than relying on the Pakis...The great thing about this (if true) is that he has got to be within spitting distance of UBL and so maybe they all took it in the shorts....

A live one-eyed Omar might know the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden -- if Bin Laden is even alive.
To: CatOwner
yeah, but he's not moving around very well, either.
the end has begun.

"A live one-eyed Omar might know the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden -- if Bin Laden is even alive." True, but this article gives the impression that Omar is not captured, otherwise I would agree having him alive would be beneficial. Then again, all of this information about Omar being injured could be more misinformation on the part of the Taliban.

"the end has begun." I hope that you are correct. Since we here in the US tend not to get very accurate reports from the ME, I find myself being skeptical at any of this. Show me a video of US troops checking for lice behind Omar's eye patch (dead body or not) and then I will believe it.

Omar was paraded by the Taliban wearing a garment they maintained was the cloak of mohammad. The crazy mullah can't speak coherently due to a brain injury. He was married I believe, to OSB's daughter. (Thanks, Dad, just the sort of man every young girl dreams of for a husband.)

He looks like the vultures have been pecking at his eyeballs.

RE: "He is now out of danger but would not be able to move for about two months . . . ."
This was posted on Thursday referencing a Dawn (Pakistan) story:
"The US forces continued their operation to arrest Taliban leader Mullah Muhammad Omar in Southern Afghanistan, Radio Mashed reports. The forces conducted house to house search operation in Uruzgan province in this connection. The US and Afghan forces in a joint operation in Helmand province carried out house to house search for the identification and arrest of Taliban. (PPI) (Posted @ 15:00 PST)"

We certainly aren't going to get those types of answers from the 911 comission.
