Kerry quotes the Bible to question Bush's compassion

St. Louis - Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry is quoting the Bible to question President Bush's claim to be a compassionate conservative.

Kerry campaigned from the pulpit today at New North Side Baptist Church in St. Louis.

He told worshipers, ``The Scriptures say, 'What does it profit, my brother, if someone says he has faith but does not have works?''' The Massachusetts senator added, ``When we look at what is happening in America today, where are the works of compassion?''

Kerry noted that three (m) million jobs have been lost since President Bush [related, bio] took office.

Kerry is Roman Catholic, but has chosen to ignore the pope's directive that Catholic politicians do all they can to stop abortion. In an interview with Time magazine, Kerry said, ``I don't tell church officials what to do, and church officials shouldn't tell American politicians what to do in the context of our public life.''

"The outcome of giving our tax dollars to Kerry and his socialist programs would not be "good works unto God" but service unto Satan. He would take money given to us by our Holy and Righteous God and use is to glorify the Devil because that who he serves and honors. How dare he mock our God, mock His Word and His people who sincerely seek to honor Him every day by using His Word against US."

This is true, however as it is WRITTEN "these things need be". Sad to see, however, we are told about the wolves in sheep's clothing. I do not believe that JFKerry came up with this scripture all on his own, wonder which of the perverter's of the WORD for "profit" for themselves, picked it out for him?

``When we look at what is happening in America today, where are the works of compassion?''

Good question, Mr. Effing-Kerry. Your home state of Massachusetts has been dominated by Liberals for decades. Besides the Big Dig, what positive results can you point to as a result of such unabashed, unchecked, unbridled Liberalism?

Please feel free to use both sides of your mouth if necessary.

Kerry campaigned from the pulpit today at New North Side Baptist Church in St. Louis.

The local IRS office should send an agent over there tomorrow to inform the pastor that he/she has violated federal election law and thus forfeited his/her tax exempt status.

Well, Mr. Horse-face, when was the last time YOU spent any time actually helping people who are poor? I seem to remember President Bush actually helping build a house for Habitat for Humanity family! Have you done ANYTHING like that? If not, then shut the hell up!

There's nothing worse than an armchair Christian who quotes scripture out of context.

Unless it's those who sit in the pews calling out "Amen!".

John Kerry voted against making it a crime to kill a fetus during an attack on its mother. Bush or his surrogates should immediately demand that Kerry explain how he can say he's "personally opposed to abortion" yet not think it should be a crime to kill a fetus against the mother's will.

There's a story up on Drudge now where the White House calls what Kerry did "beyond the bounds of acceptable discourse" and a "sad exploitation of scripture for political attack." Amen. Hope the White House continues to press that.

The contrast between Kerry's vote on "Connor's Law" last week and his speech in church is just...well, I can't phrase it in "acceptable discourse."

I speculate he is fighting for votes amongst Americans with black skin who consider themselves Christian.

Sure enough. These so called black churches, including the bad reverends Sharpton and Jackson, are about as Christ-like as Satan himself...It will be a cold day in hell for these misleaders come Judgement Day. Using God as a tool is an ugly proposition.

God, forgive them, because my anger seems righteous.

And would you care to illuminate the passage that advocates homosexuality in the Bible, oh mighty theologian?

Oh, I'm sure you read Kerry's quotes on this one... they aren't "passages" in the Kerry World, they are "clauses." And they "go both ways." He did stop short of commenting on loopholes, thank goodness.
