Well, it was back to "normal" after last week's A.N.S.W.E.R's worldwide protest against the War against Terrorism and the Troops in Iraq.
The same weekly core of "Lefties" were out there, with the same signs that don't make any sense. One poster even had a sign saying "God's children are everywhere." I have to think on that one.
I also wondered where the large crowd went to that was there last week? Mmmm..they just came out of the woodwork, I suppose, to get their quickie minute of fame? I am sure that they didn't give a hoot about the Troops who died in Iraq/Afghanistan and wore their name around their necks.
It was a beautiful Spring day although overcast. It sprinkled while we counter-protested the Lefties, but that didn't scare us. Freedom is too precious to be afraid of getting drenched. The Troops out there are fighting for our way of life and freedom. Surely, we can sacrifice just a little, eh?
We had several honks, thumbs-up, waves, and thank-you's. Those are always appreciated and it cheers us up to see that not all Americans are against the Troops and War against Terrorism as some Lefties want us to think. We know better.
A Post Office customer came over and talked to Prov3456 and Snowflake about the protesters. She was from New Jersey and she talked about 9/11 and it's after effects. She was in New York city when the planes attacked WTC. She knows that the protesters are against freedom and that we must fight for our freedom nor appease to the terrorists, as some countries want the U.S. to do. Nope. Appeasement nor lying down our arms to fight for freedom is not the answer.
Jerr from KC was there again today! Thank you Jerr for sacrificing a trip to Columbia. Great signs you had today..and one of them was on 9/11. Never forget, as the Lefties have already done.
As Spring continues to blossom and the temps get warmer, I surely hope that FReepers of Mid-Missouri would sacrifice one hour on a Saturday and come out and support the Troops and President Bush. We need you. Don't be shy. We would love to have you there with us!
Be a Mid-Missouri Patriot!

I am adding this song here so that we won't forget.
Never ever forget.
Have You Forgotten
Darryl Worley
Written by Darryl Worley and Wynn Varble
I hear people saying we don't need this war
I say there's some things worth fighting for
What about our freedom and this piece of ground?
We didn't get to keep 'em by backing down
They say we don't realize the mess we're getting in
Before you start preaching
Let me ask you this my friend
Have you forgotten how it felt that day
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away?
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside
Going through a living hell
And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?
They took all the footage off my T.V.
Said it's too disturbing for you and me
It'll just breed anger that's what the experts say
If it was up to me I'd show it every day
Some say this country's just out looking for a fight
After 9/11 man I'd have to say that's right
Have you forgotten how it felt that day
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away?
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside
Going through a living hell
And we vowed to get the ones behind Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?
I've been there with the soldiers
Who've gone away to war
And you can bet that they remember
Just what they're fighting for
Have you forgotten all the people killed?
Yes, some went down like heroes in that Pennsylvania
field
Have you forgotten about our Pentagon?
All the loved ones that we lost
And those left to carry on
Don't you tell me not to worry 'bout Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten?

I was very proud to bring "Sunnyside" our newest Mid MO FReeper. She is the 4th generation Columbia Infinite FReeper.
Thank you to the troops that protect my family and all Americans (and freedom lovers everywhere). We know that you are the real peace keepers.
We are winning ~ the bad guys are losing ~ trolls, terrorists, democrats and the mainstream media are sad ~ very sad!
If one of "God's children" starts raping three women a week in Columbia, you can bet the women in that peacenik group won't be trying to save him from the cops like they tried to save Saddam.
We had two idiots last week, 15 year olds with no brains at all. Their signs said "Drop Bush not Bombs" and "Buck Fush." They taunted a member of our group because of his Christian T-shirt. They didn't know (or care) who Neville Chamberlain was and one of them was trying to convince me that the battle of Okinawa took place after we bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Eventually they fell back on making vague references to gay marriage in a vain effort to tick me off, although I did ask them later which one was going to be the bride...
We hadn't seen them before, or since, and I don't expect to see them again; I didn't make it very fun for them, my questions were too pointed and I kept on them like a bulldog.
And, sweet little Sunnyside sure was a pleasure to have around this morning. What a head of hair she has! Great Grandpa has every right to be obsessively proud of the little doll.
Thank you Jerr for fighting the storms to stand with us again this week, and for those beautiful posters. Looks like another storm is blowing up right now, but I was pretty sure the rain would hold off this morning. (Nothing like old bones being barometers. No aches, no rain!)
As always, the company at the corner was exceptional. I have never known a better group of folks. It's been an honor to stand with you all. After 9-11, I could no longer be quiet about the protesters, or the effect they have on our country. It is nice to know there are so many who believe the same and express it.
May God bless our troops, and their families. Not a day goes by when freedom, health, and happiness does not elicit profound gratitude for our troops and our veterans.
