March 27, 2004 -- John Kerry - more than any other Democrat - attacked President Bush in TV ads during the presidential primary season, a new nonpartisan study found.

The survey of television advertising found that 78 percent of Kerry's primary commercials - and all of his general-election ads so far - were critical of Bush.

He's just embracing the policy of preemption. Too bad he's not for it when it comes to religious zealots who want commit mass-murder of Americans.

It's like Rush says. The Demos have no positive plans, only anger.

Yesterday a man called and wanted some arguements from Rush on how to talk to the liberals he works with. Rush's answer was you can't convince them, they are too filled with hate.

He said no Demos ever call on his show filled with excitement for Kerry, just with hatred for Bush.

It will be difficult to see it on the bottom of the bird cage.

There's a great joke lurking in there somewhere, but it's too early to come up with it quite yet. Let me finish my coffee....

Actually, IMO, this is the -real- point where the Republicans should nail the Dems in proving that there is collusion and cooperation between Kerry's campaign and the 527's.

Unless I'm mistaken, the 527's are technically restricted from running critical ads of opponents, and can only run what amounts to positive ads for a given candidate.

Kerry is focusing exclusively on negative ads knowing that the 527's will pick up the slack on positive ads puffing -him- up. If it weren't for those 527's, there's NO WAY he could run such a monolithically negative campaign. If that doesn't count as cooperation/collusion (and yes, point out how they both run in the same markets at the same time as well), nothing really can.

They have always been hard to argue with because they don't understand anything more complicated than a five or six year old's level. Their politics seem to be based on nothing more than wanting to never have to utter, in childish anguish, "it's not fair" again.

But now, it's just about impossible. They won't even attempt to work with logic or fact. It's pointless to argue because they bring up the mythical 'stolen election', or point to hidden but universally 'known' conspiracies. Most of them thought they had ushered in an unstoppable era of power with clinton, and were crushed when the gork lost. These guys are operating on nothing but hatred.

It's unfortunate that some people would see a benefit in their endorsement of Bipartisan Campaign Finance Reform. Why would anyone want to put their effort behind unconstitutional legislation?

I believe Justice Scalia wrote the following in his dissenting opinion on BCFR:

There is good reason to believe that the ending of negative campaign ads was the principal attraction of the legislation.

But let us not be deceived. While the Government’s briefs and arguments before this Court focused on the horrible “appearance of corruption,” the most passionate floor statements during the debates on this legislation pertained to so-called attack ads, which the Constitution surely protects,

And yet the ads are the issue and will continue to be. If nothing else, perhaps this over-emphasis on the ads themselves will shed light on Justice Scalia's remarks--BCFR was indeed focused on the abridgement of free association and free speech. When Senator McCain starts the campaign finance reform ball rolling again--are people here going to get behind him and cheer him on?

The the campaign finance reform ball comes tumbling down the chute again--what group or individual's right to association and free speech will fall?

Rush also said that noone ever won the White House by running a negative campaign. Almost all of the ads Kerry runs are negative in content and his agenda is simply "Get Bush". It remains to be seen what will happen but Kerry is simply a man with NO CORE VALUES

Two mental images I am working on:

1) Kerry playing ping-pong with Kerry, various positions he's flip-flopped on on either side.

2) An Othello board with text boxes on top and bottom: Kerry's position on x at top. Then hand plays chip and the board changes complexion, and Kerry's position on x contradicting the top one is displayed at bottom. 2nd round, etc., etc.

He said no Demos ever call on his show filled with excitement for Kerry, just with hatred for Bush.

Presidents most hated by the opposition:

John Addams
Andrew Jackson
Abraham Lincoln
FDR
Richard Nixon
The Rapist

Excepting only Addams, they all have one thing in common. They were all reelected.

I'm not saying the Dems' hatred is a good thing for Bush. It damages all concerned. But it will damage those who wield it most.

The full press release is ten pages and seems to have lots of data. Unfortunately it's pdf. (I hate pdf!)
