A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Thanks, Mixer!
1) Click on the graphic to open the Calendar. 2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up. 3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit. 4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it. 5) If all else fails or simply if you want me to do this for you send me a FReepmail and I will gladly do it for you. ~Mixer

Is that your back yard?
I'm going to have to break down and get cable. The rabbit ears aren't doing so good anymore.

We are doing great. Thanks for asking. Went to the Zoo today because it was so nice today and the tykes have been waiting.
I've been doing a little base trim coping today just to get started and see how it's going to look. Now that the staining and poly coats are done the real fun starts.
;-)
How have you been?

I wish my back yard looked like that. But give me time. I'm working on it. And yes, you should have cable and have your computer on it too.

I put a tennis shoe on that had been left out in the garage and felt something in there. Then after taking it back off I found a small cocoon attached under the tongue of the tennis shoe. I pulled it out and it looked and felt like a small brillo pad. When I opened it up a brown and black caterpillar came out. Put the shoe back on and took a walk...then within an hour I had a blueish green whelp on top of my foot the size of a golfball! Had never seen anything like it and still don't understand how that happened.

No I didn't see the cabinets. But that pic is beautiful. Was that pine you made look like cherry or were you using hardwood. The grain on the left gives the whole thing character. Nice work Mayor.

That strip you see with the grain is pine, most of it is Poplar. The doors are all Poplar.

The bench is all done now, I need to cut down a table to fit.
This is the type of work I enjoy but I think I'm getting arthritis, I ache.. gettin old that's all..

There is a caterpiller that hangs out on Mimosa trees that creates the most painful burn you've ever felt. Just touching them will make you wish you hadn't. Might be something like that. Hope it doesn't cause you any more problems. Lesson: always check the inside of old tennis shoes that have been in the garage, the attic, the basement or the barn. If you lived in Fla. that could have been a scorpion.

Believe me, I'll never leave my shoes outside again! It could have just as easily been a small copperhead, which are common around here.

I've got dsl lite through the phone company. If I drop it before the first of next year, I will have to pay a default fee.

Ouch! Did the doctor know what caused it? Did you look and see if you could find anything on the web about it?
