[history]
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- In August 2002, then-White House counterterrorism czar Richard Clarke told reporters that the Bush administration -- from day one -- told him to "vigorously pursue" the Clinton administration policy that allowed the United States to kill Osama bin Laden if the opportunity arose.

I just sent msn.com some feedback, asking them why they aren't coverung the national news. I included a link to the CNN story.
Anybody care to hit other news sites with the CNN link?

Ex-Senator Bob Kerry darn well better come out and criticize CNN as he did Fox News. Otherwise, he is applying a double standard.Ex senator Kerrey is a prime example of why this 'independent' council is not so independent. Kerrey should have welcomed the transcript that FOX published today rather than criticizing FOX for publishing it. Or doesn't Kerrey want to hear the truth???
If I had lost a loved one in the WTC attack, I would be outraged by the partisan politics being played by the members of this committee!

Kerry's offcial Senate website lists his accomplishments in 1993 as "1. Tri-Community Chamber of Commerce George B. Wells Award December 7, 1993 for leadership in tourism"
That's it. That's his 1993 accomplishment. I think I did more that year.

Ex-Senator Bob Kerry darn well better come out and criticize CNN as he did Fox News Yeah, Bob Kerry is probably sitting in his hotel room going watching Wolfie Boy saying to himself, "Wait, wait, we had an agreement, deny, deny, deny. Pretend we're outraged at the Right, in this instance, Fox News...now you guys go and report it too? After I said what I said today on the panel? You guys left me hanging? Ya left me out to dry? Oh my, Martha, get me PR on the phone stat."
It's gonna be fun watching these losers implode.
The real clue to how shaky this whole premise was how John Kerry played wait and see with it. He's the king of saying anything today knowing that he can backtrack/slip'n'slide out of it later with another statement--and even HE wouldn't go on record supporting the guys statements.
THAT was the first tip off...

I'm now getting the argument on lefty websites that Clarke is credible because he's a Republican. Of course, the only reason to believe he's a Republican is because -he- said he was (i.e. we know that Clarke is credible because of something that Clarke said).
I saw someone on another thread earlier found that Clarke's only political donation was to some local congresswoman or something? Does anyone recall where that post was? I can't find it :(

Sorry to keep wandering off-topic, but Kerry's on the Foreign Relations Committee, and in particular this sub-committee:
Sub-Committee on Western Hemisphere, Peace Corps & Narcotics Affairs.
That's got to be the oddest grouping of topic I've ever seen in a committee title.

WABC radio news reporter states that the WTC families are happy with Clarke's testimony because he said things that have to be said, even if he does have a credibility problem.
Doesn't that say it all.

Before we get too excited, lets wait to see how ABCNBCCBS, the Today show, Good Morning America, the late-night talk shows, our various local news programs, the New York Times, Washington Post, L.A. Times, etc., treat the story. You know the crowd that likes to call themselves the "mainstream" media. Gag!

And guess what..............CNN and MSNBC are reading from an EMAIL that Clarke send to Condi Rice a few days AFTER 9-11.....and it also contradicts his book!
