Fox just finished replaying the "background" clips of Clarke and is now back to hearing.

was speaking more to the damage control style of this White House. If getting the truth out there is damage control then thank the Lord we finally have Republican men intstead of wimps in the White House. My only wish is that the Republicans in the Congress and Senate would put on pants also. There is a big difference in this White House getting the truth out their in the guys own words and the Clinton White House character assisination, threats and not to mention the untimely deaths.
BTW, Why are you still here at freerepublic, you are nothing but a disruption on any thread I have read your posts on?????

Committee isn't really asking ANYTHING that would would require Clarke to choose between verifying his book or verifying the Angle 'background' interview. All speicifc discussions have been around 1999 time period or before.

The Bush White House, of late, is behaving like the Clinton War Room. The fundamental difference, to your dismay, is that the Bush White House is honorable and tells the truth.
To: Freemyland
Clarke's comments to Angle were given off the record or on background - Angle said he went to the WH either yesterday or today to get permission to release them today. That may explain why Mr. Clarke didn't expect his current allegations to be made null and void by his comments to Angle in 2002.

Most of the media wont even cover this story. And even if they do, the liberals will denounce FOX as part of the right-wing conspiracy and make snide references to a cover-up, or some such tactic. It's business as usual for the Dems. Then Fox should make the other media and their complicity with the liberals the news today to counter-punch. Fox at the least has them caught up in terrible journalism at the worst it looks like they are in alliance with the dems and should hint that. That is what they say about Fox and the right... What is good for the goose is good for the gander. The main stream media would then have to try and defend themselves to their viewers.

I think you're right. He AND HILLARY didn't think it would be subject to release...which means someone screwed up and heads will roll....

Of course they are. And this Andres person will be flamed and her reputation destroyed. Wait and see.

I bet the "elephant in the room" is totally ignored. If even Drudge puts this "under the fold," what hope is there?
To: MEG33
His tag line is disgusting. For any thinking person to blame his actions on a previous generation denies free will and really ignores history.

I think the bottom line on Clarke is that this was to be used to clear the deck on going back into the Clinton Legacy as a means for Hillary to say that Bubba did everything right and we're beyond that. It might also explain why Bubba's book has missed deadline after deadline.

There is no one idiotic enough to take John Galt's advice on anything. He has not a single clue as you can tell from the mendacious manner in which he posts.
He sees no contradiction in comparing the attack mode of the Clinton team to that of Bush then turning around and snidely sniffs that Bush is "defensive." What an idiot.

His screen name indicates he is a Randite thus, should lean toward Libertarianism. He is fond of linking to Lew Rockwell and the Cato Institute, he rarely reads anything that does not have the word neocon in it. He tries to come off as an intellectual, but well...you know : )
To: sarasota
Andrea Mitchell (NBC) and Andrea Koppel (CNN) are the only journalist names that showed up on a Google search of "White House" and "Andrea".
Andrea Smith shows up for ABC Radio, but not in a way that suggests a strong candidate as "the Andrea" involved.
