CNN is actually talking about this right now, but they're claiming that THE WHITE HOUSE revealed this transcript, as opposed to Jim Angle on Fox News.
Is there any truth to that?
Oh, and DUmmies are claiming it's a forgery? Good luck wit dat. CNN, I believe, has backed up that the same interview is in their own archives. I can't swear to that, had the volume on kinda low, but that's what it sounded like she said.

"Iraq/Al Qaeda: Why is it that leftists don't think the US military can do two things at the same time?
I swear, they must think that Afghanistan was put on hold while the US took out Saddam.

I expect this will be ignored by all normal media outlets. However, I am very disappointed with Drudge. You would think he would have headlined this bigtime.
Does he have a grudge against FOX. Didn't he get fired from that network awhile back?

In fairness to Isikoff, he probably hasn't read the transcript or heard the words of Clarke. Once he does, let's see if it influences his opinion.
Also, Rush said the omission of this important development by CNN/CBS/ABC/NBC/et al is actually good for our side. It demonstrates how bad they are losing since is shows how far they will compromise their "profession" to smear a President they hate.

The White House gave FOX permission to release the transcript.

From DU.
It's in his own words.
What a freaking mess!
To: CheezyD
Not the same thing, of course. But the spin could be worse - at least they mentioned it.
Of course, they have a commentator on now saying that Clarke has "a lot of street credibility". *gag*

"This response to Clarke has been in the can for weeks."
Clarke's attack has been in the works for months.
And what Angle has reported is nothing but the truth.
The truth can only smear liars.
For some reason, when the truth is incovenient to those who want the administration to lose, you suddenly seem to be opposed to it coming out and want to change the subject. Why is that?

You're right, DU's whole format is lame. FR is much easier to read, and you don't have to be a "donor" to search for key words. You'll also notice that breaking/negative stories get posted to FR twice as fast.

The DUmmies are calling the transcript a forgery! Then those idiots think the archive news tape is fake too.
To: Oldeconomybuyer
In fairness to Isikoff, he probably hasn't read the transcript or heard the words of Clarke. Once he does, let's see if it influences his opinion. That seems unlikely given that he was interviewed on Fox right after their playing the background interview.

Tell me you don't believe that the White House was caught off guard by Clarke's comments on Sunday?
My goodness, God help us indeed.
