You are correct. If you will remember the memos that PROVED the Gimmies were UNDERMINING the JUDICIAL process for donations and lobbyists demands. It wasn't the SUBSTANCE of the memo but the fact that it was released. Thereby shifting FOCUS from MEMO to the messenger.

I don't think it was too smart to attack Fox News. Ailes will not forgive. He will also seize the moment and play the tape for all it's worth.
News Corp also owns the NY Post. I'm sure they'll have an article or two about it.
The panel made the tape relevent. It can't be swept under the rug now that they ranted about it.
