BTW, on my way back from errands Rush played the tape of Condi that others said Hannity played last night. The one from October 2000 where she said more about the threat facing us than I ever heard from the Clinton administration.

Fighting terrorism was top Clinton priority. That priority was nowhere to be found. Take out two aspirin factories and calling Der Schlickmeister in the morning is not taking out terrorism in my book.

What a absolute setup and slime of Bush! Unbelieveable! I hope some of the other questioners throw his previous comments back in his face.

Is this fast pitch or slow pitch softball?
Whew! Made it back in time to hear dumb-CLUCK lying.
Didn't want to miss this.
To: Mo1
How can anyone lie like this is unbelievable. I suppose Clarke in his own hurt feelings way believes this, but it's obvious the Bush Admin saw he was seriously lacking in judgment, hence the 'demotion'.
Clarke is a lying sack of feces.

Superbowl? The only way this guy could get more attention from the press is if he flashed his tit.

HE IS GOING TO SAY HE WAS LYING IN 2002 BECAUSE HE'S SUCH A LOYALIST!
AND HE WILL SAY HE WAS ANGLING FOR THE NEW JOB AND DIDN'T WANT TO JEOPARDIZE THAT. SO HE SAID ALL THOSE GLOWING THINGS IN JIM ANGLE'S TAPE.
JUST WATCH...THAT'S GOING TO BE THE EXPLANATION.

Roemer was on TV last night asserting that Clarke was VERY credible.

This is so gross, I am weeping for my country. There isn't a drop of patriotism in the Rats on this commish. It really rips your heart out how patently unfair and partisan this is. This is unbelieveble.

Oh, he is trying to make it sound like he was FORCED to brief on cybersecurity. As I understand it, that was HIS choice.

More Angle, More Perjury
So, point five, that process which was initiated in the first week in February, uh, decided in principle, uh in the spring to add to the existing Clinton strategy and to increase CIA resources, for example, for covert action, five-fold, to go after Al Qaeda.
The sixth point, the newly-appointed deputies and you had to remember, the deputies didn't get into office until late March, early April. The deputies then tasked the development of the implementation details, uh, of these new decisions that they were endorsing, and sending out to the principals.
Over the course of the summer last point they developed implementation details, the principals met at the end of the summer, approved them in their first meeting, changed the strategy by authorizing the increase in funding five-fold, changing the policy on Pakistan, changing the policy on Uzbekistan, changing the policy on the Northern Alliance assistance.

I guess they don't have a grievance process in place for White House employees.
Good grief, he's just whining!

This guy gave the Bush Admin. until May before he got impatient with the Administration (after what, 3 months?) and then asks to be reassigned... after 8 years in the Clinton Admin. doing nothing!
To: cyncooper
Roemer should change his name to Clarkelick.

I'm glad Rush played that Hannity tape with Condi - I e-mailed him about it.
To: Terry Mross
The Reps need to nail this guy hard. Press him until he admits that he had absolutely NO IDEA that AQ was going to attack us with hijacked airliners.
