Question: How high a priority was fighting AQ in the Clinton admin.

Clarke: Fighting terrorism in general and AQ in particular was a high priority. There was no higher priority. Perhaps the Middle East peace process was as high, but certainly not higher.

Question: How high a priority in the Bush administration.

Clarke: In the first 8 months, they considered terrorism an important but not urgent issue. They and president Bush says as much in his interview with Bob Woodward that he didn't feel a sense of interview. George Tenet and I tried to create a sense of urgency.

Oh, lies already. Fighting terrorism was of the highest priority in the Clinton Administration. In the Bush Administration in the first 8 months said there was not a sense of urgency.

The media is misrpresenting Clarke's job title, he wasn't Terrorism Czar, he was the Cyberterrorism Czar. There is a HUGH difference between the two.

Says Bush admin didn't consider terrorism urgent although he, Clarke, tried hard to push the issue.

Clarke already has testified that terrorism had no higher priority than in the Clinton administration.

On the other hand he is saying it was not as important in the Bush adminstration and he cites Bob Woodward's book as proof!

(I thought Roemer wanted him to focus on memos and emails and the like and not books!)

FOLKS: I think the best angle to go after Clarke now - beyond being a scumbag & LIAR - is that he's obviously a racist who has it out for powerful women of color ala Condoleeza Rice. The libs cannot support a RACIST and that is what they're doing in this full-on attack against Condi.

Clark starts out by saying, "I'm sorry." He's playing for sympathy 'cause he know's he's toast. He started out refuting his own interview that Fox's Jim Angle provided. I hope someone on that committee has that transcript.

This is just a polite opening!

He likes the shooting of cruise missiles, Bush thinks that is a worthless strategy!
