Ok, please tell me I'm not alone...
When I saw those pics of Tiger Woods on the aircraft carrier hitting golf balls out to sea, all I could think of was when Kramer got the golfball stuck in the Whale's blowhole and George pretended he was a dr.

I would have that for dinner too, but have to watch the old cholesterol. My doc has been on my case for several years about that.

Kathy,
Hi!
Saw a friend of mine this weekend who was injured in Baghdad - he still has a fantastic disposition despite his medical problems (he's still waiting for some surgery). We're behind our troops, and thank each and every one for their service.

Hee hee. I love Tiger Woods. He is such a great guy and has a great story, but it did make me chuckle when I saw that.
BTW- I used his program to teach a homeschool co-op class.
The program is called Start Something. The Tiger Woods foundation, through Target- sent me a whole bunch of great supplies. If you ever need a class to teach, or something for your kids, you should look into it.
It is all about leadership development, making plans and follwing your dreams.

I got this from kjfine today: ------------- I know this guy. Served with him in the 892d when I was a LT. This is pretty cool. K Injured soldier from Webster Groves is glad to be back in U.S. Below is the link to the story. http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/news/stories.nsf/News/St.+Louis+City+%2F+County/F4007E2087B2B4F886256E5D001F72FB?OpenDocument&Headline=Injured+soldier+from+Webster+Groves+is+glad+to+be+back+in+U. _____________________________________________________________________ Before Army 1st Lt. Brandan Mueller was activated in January of last year, he had a feeling he'd be called up, but he also had concerns at home - Mueller's wife Amanda was pregnant with their first child. "Given what was going on over there, I expected it," the reservist said Friday night from his hospital bed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, where President George W. Bush visited Friday. "But it was my duty to my country." Mueller, 28, a St. Louis attorney who makes his home in Webster Groves, has been at the medical center since early March. He was injured Feb. 27 when his troop was running a fueling mission in northern Iraq and was struck by an oncoming car that was traveling about 80 mph, he said. "If you saw the pictures of the Humvee, you wouldn't believe anyone walked away," Mueller said. Two other members of the 705th Transportation Company also were hurt in the crash, but their injuries paled in comparison to Mueller's. []"It messed up both my legs," he said. Mueller had tendons severed in his right leg. He had a broken right arm. He had a crushed left ankle and foot. Mueller was flown to Baghdad for a day to undergo treatment, then flown to Germany for a day before heading back to the States. On Friday, the president and Laura Bush visited the Muellers. The president thanked Mueller for his service and took a few moments to read to his daughter, Abigail. During his tour of duty, Mueller had the good fortune of getting a 30-day leave that coincided with his daughter's birth on June 20 of last year. "Being there was pure joy," he said. "I don't have the words to express it." "It's a relief," Amanda Mueller said.

Aid Station Keeps Task Force Phoenix Ready to Fight
By U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Robert R. Ramon
Combined Joint Task Force Phoenix
KABUL, Afghanistan, March 18, 2004 When most Americans are in need of emergency medical care, help is usually just a quick phone call away. U.S. soldiers serving at Camp Phoenix here may not have a phone readily available, but medical assistance can be there just as quickly.
The Camp Phoenix Aid Station is on call at all times for the approximately 900 soldiers who make up Coalition Joint Task Force Phoenix.
Our mission is to support U.S. and coalition forces with medical care so theyre able to do their mission, said Maj. Ted M. Ware from Yukon, Okla., the officer in charge of the Camp Phoenix Aid Station.
The task force soldiers are from National Guard units from more than 20 states, the Oklahoma National Guards 45th Infantry Brigade Headquarters and contingents from seven different countries.
If they came here with no medical support, theyd be very concerned and unable to fully concentrate on their mission, said Ware. Our presence here is a big reassurance to them, and they can fully concentrate on their jobs.
Staffed with 25 medical professionals from the 45th Infantry Brigade, including two physicians, two physicians assistants, two registered nurses, a pharmacy operations officer, a noncommissioned officer in charge who is also a registered nurse in her civilian job, and 17 medics, the Camp Phoenix Aid Station is more than capable of providing medical care on par with that found in the U.S.
The rest of the story
