September Republican National Convention, New York

The Republican National Convention is planned for New York city, Thursday September 2. I know Protest Warrior is planning on staging a counter-protest of the lefties that are planning a huge protest of the event. Are the Freepers planning on joining us? This should be a HUGE counter-protest if you plan this far in advance. We could probably get thousands of Protest Warriors and Freepers from all over the country to make it up there. Post your ideas and comments. Keep this thread bumped until September.

Thank God someone is mentioning this finally, and thisfar in advance. I have been waiting for an excuse to go th NY and if I know there is a huge Freeping opportunity, I'll be there.

This is a chance, Freepers, to show our numbers and our voice. Scrimp, save and double up on hotel rooms. PLEASE PLAN ON BEING THERE! THIS IS OUR CHANCE! Imagine the being there in such numbers that the press and the libs have no choice but to cover us!

I can't wait. We are planning a week long vacation to New York. Its just before labor day and most schools will not be starting until the following week after this event. So if you have kids, don't worry they won't miss school. Some of you may, but most won't. I recommend planning now for this. We will be staying from August 30-September 4 or 5. BE THERE OR BE A LEFTY!

It seems that they are marching on the 29th of August. This is the Sunday before the Convention. Keep yourselves up to date, things could change with this!

Ok, from everything I have been finding, the main protest is on the 29th of August. The 2nd is the wrong day. Mark your calendars!

Wonderful! We are going to do something (Tri-State Chapter). Not sure what yet. I think part of it should be a table with FR literature--on the street, of course; they won't let us inside I'm sure.

Ideas welcome. Should we join with Protest Warrior? This is one of those times when enthusiasm is high, so we should not miss this opportunity.
