Finally, the Bush campaign is responding in a timely manner and I believe, effectively, at least as effectively as possible, given the total support that the media giants, ABC,CBS,NBC,PBS,NPR,CNN, give the Leftist Democrat Party. I am somewhat more encouraged by the change in tactics of the Bush campaign. Maybe they have been awakened by the constant hammering of the Freepers to defend at least some of the conservative ideals and actions of the administration. If this campaign revolves around the effort to defend the nation against Islamic terrorists, Bush will win.

This has been an AMAZING rapid response ...
And hopefully the quick rebuttals will become the norm, rather than the exception. Go around the media.
Yes, this one seems to have been knocked down before it could gather much steam at all.
Leslie Stahl might complain and Clarke will probably lose a lot of sales. But he might surpass Jason Blair's book sales. Jason hawked his book for 2 weeks on the liberal media---and has sold around 3,000.

Wow. What a great find. Will have to save this.
If only Scott McClellan would do a better job defending the president's position. He's doing a horrible j ob.

I too am glad that the administration is responding to this balderdash. Yet I am content in the knowledge that the Bush Administration is manned by some of the most intelligent minds in the business. Their first priority is keeping Americans secure. Responding to every partisan attack from the left and their alphabet networks would detract from this mission. I pray that our nation is aware of this responsibility and will understand the dirty politics at play here.

The president needs to find a MUCH better spokesman b/c he just gets hammered by the WH press corps. He lacks confidence in his approach, is often apologetic and actually stammers. Part of the strategy must be to get rid of this guy.

The Bush Team is in campaign mode - while W and the VP, etc, are dealing with the WOT.

Here's the line from General Schoomaker that is damning.
"The presidential directives that were issued," he said, "and the subsequent findings and authorities, in my view, were done to check off boxes. The president signed things that everybody involved knew full well were never going to happen."
So Clarke is trying to place himself in a position for some type of cabinet position if Kerry should win and is mad because he was dissed from the Bush Admin. And the fact that CBS did an infomercial for his book is not really reporting at all, it's pandering to the DNC and the liberal left. But, we all know that on FR. And like you stated earlier, we have to attack the media more than ever. This entire fabrication created by CBS, Clarke, Viacom, and the 'reporters' is purely political, unobjective and biased, solely to promote their blatant objective - Anyone But Bush.

All day long the media has only mentioned that Clarke worked for President Bush. Not a word about eight years of work for Clinton.

Well, he was transferred, from the outset, to the cyber-security detail... and he was pretty much out of the loop from the outset....
Who took over Clarke's position?
