CHICAGO -- Some prefer their coffee with a dash of cream and sugar and others just want it black. As for those intense coffee drinkers, preferences for coffee have become a little more difficult. Just ask Rhonda Cain, owner of Color Me Coffee espresso bar located at the trendy Navy Pier in Chicago. Her favorite coffee? Sumatra Mandheling, an Indonesian bean. As hundreds of delegates, members of the media, and convention-goers discovered in August at the Democratic National Convention, Cain's passion for coffee goes beyond mere caffeine craving.
"I selected the name 'Color Me Coffee' because I feel that it reflects the diversity of coffee drinkers," she said. "Coffee drinkers are not limited to just one race or gender; everyone has that craving for a hot cup of coffee."
Color Me Coffee is part of a group of vendors heavily represented at the Democratic National Convention. Convention organizers boasted that 78 percent of the vendors represented at the DNC are African American, Asian and Hispanic-owned; 32 percent are women-owned businesses.
When concerns were raised about the potential services to be provided, the convention organizers responded that they selected extremely competent and qualified vendors.
Cain, who is one the first African-American coffee roasters in the country, described the selection process as strenuous but well worth it.
"It was like having Christmas everyday. I wish it lasted another week; we are making a killing," she explained. Color Me Coffee provides a menu which included bagels, muffins coffee cake, espresso, and cappuccino.
Cain believes that she was selected due to her 14 years of experience and a commitment to providing excellent service. She reflects back to her days at the United terminal in O'Hare International Airport and feels confident that she can compete at any level.
After the convention, Cain has her sights set on St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands.
"The exposure from this convention was right on time. The convention was like a shot of espresso; it just gets you going," she explained.
Other services provided by minority businesses at the DNC included bottled water services, janitorial, computer rental, office equipment, photographic services, plant and florist services, security services and temporary labor and personnel services.
What ever the service is, many of them will experience a caffeine boost from the little espresso bar that could.

This article was written I think back in 2000 about the Democratic National Convention. It looks like this FIRED Apprentice contestant has been OBSESSED by race for a long time. BTW, I just read in the National Enquirer that Omarosa has been named as one of the Chairwomen of the DNC African-American Leadership Council. I PRAY that she will be one of the speakers at the Democrat Convention this summer. Omarosa is so reviled that her speech would be the kiss of death for the Democrats.

I'll second that. Oma worked for the Clintoon Administration and speaks volumes to their dysfunction. (She's also an image consultant for the Miss USA pageant; hence the attitude.)

Check the latest National Enquirer article about Omarosa. Even Star Jones and Oprah are skeptical about Omarosa's race baiting charges. BTW, the same article also mentions that Omarosa is now a Chairwomen of the DNC African-American Leadership Council. I hope that Omarosa demand that they let her speak at the Democrat National Convention this summer. If they don't, Omarosa should claim racism. Omarosa is the powderkeg that the Democrats will now have to swallow. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Why is it that liberals always have to use labels and racial division. Why can't we just treat people as people, not say "72 percent category x, with another subset of 32% category w"
Can't we all just get along?
Regardless of race, Omarosa is scum!

She seemed to display both race-obsessed and 'Democrat' attitutdes on the show. She became upset with one of the white lady contestants when that lady used the expression "That's a case of the pot calling the kettle black." The expression has nothing to do with race and is just a saying.
Omarosa behaved like a true Democrat after getting hit on the head with a small piece of plaster. She claimed to have a splitting headache and had to go outside to take a break, leaving her team to work on the apartment renovation. Outside, she was well enough to throw a basketball around with two kids who walked by. Later, a doctor who examined her said there was nothing wrong, but not being satisfied even then, she visited the emergency room. I wonder if all of this was at Donald Trump's expense?

I drink O.J. Simpson coffee ... strong, black and bitter.

I recall she actually claimed she had a concussion! Here is a woman with issues far beyond the grasp of normal intelligence. Yes, she even turned the phrase "pot calling the kettle black" into a claim that this person called her the N word. She can only help Kerry with his implosion campaign. Sit back and enjoy the show!

Less scary and more apropos would be: "I like my women like I like my coffee...black and bitter as anything!"

I have no idea who this woman is, and from the looks of this thread, it's probably good that I don't. hehe
To: PJ-Comix
It's not badly written, though, and she's only reporting on the affirmative action policies of the DNC.

"I selected the name 'Color Me Coffee' because I feel that it reflects the diversity of coffee drinkers," she said. "Coffee drinkers are not limited to just one race or gender; everyone has that craving for a hot cup of coffee."Wouldn't that mean we're not really all that diverse? Everybody loves coffee. Where's the diversity in that? Unless of course, you're obsessed with the color of one's skin and not much else...

Having worked with Trump I'm shocked he put up w/ Omarosa that long.

Omarosa presents a perfect example of a certain kind of purblindness wherein she embodies all the "self-esteem" drivel of the PC culture along with a total lack of self-awareness. Socrates' maxim "an unexamined life is not worth living" leaves people like Omarosa baffled. They have no idea what it means and most likely never will.

I was shocked when I saw that clip on "The Apprentice" where she claimed that the phrase "pot calling the kettle black" was racist - and I don't shock too easily in this field. For race-baiters, btw, eating "devil dogs" is the ultimate in being politically incorrect.
To: KellyAdmirer
On the first show when the contestants were introducing themselves to Donald Trump, Omaroasa had to arrogantly declare " I worked in the White House for the President of the United States". Trump had a hard time keeping from rolling his eyes at such a pompass twit.
