Mansoor Ijaz slamming Richard Clarke on Fox'N Friends
Fox News Channel
Posted on 03/22/2004 4:28:39 AM PST by ReleaseTheHounds
Mansoor Ijaz just called Richard Clarke essentially a liar. Challenged virtually all of his claims -- and accused Clarke of stonewalling Ijaz's efforts to capture Bin Laden via the Sudanese.

Ijaz said that in the negotiations he was trying to arrange to get Bin Laden in US custody, CLARKE personally blocked his way.
Said he'd meet him anywhere, any time, to discuss this on TV.

Condi also did a good job answering his charges - saying this was the guy in charge as Clinton, busy with that fat devil in the blue dress, did nothing about terrorism during the 90's.
To: Judith Anne
Clarke kept Al Qaeda in business.
Clarke is a liar.

I saw it,he was furious at Clarke...but Kerry and the dems have a great distraction from Kerry's downward slide.

Devastating statements by Mansoor. Unbelievable 'CHALLENGE"

And Condi Rice followed stating, among many things, that Clark's method of dealing with terrorists obviously wasn't working! Clark had ten years (8 with Klinton) and never accomplished a thing!

Another interesting point Ijaz made is that Bubba and Halfbright didn't mention AQ in their briefings to their incoming opposite numbers. Tellijng omission. And anyone who doesn't think the 9-11 Commission is there to cover Bubba's backside should take note of the timing of Clarke's testimony. It's no accident.

As a journalist, rather than a 'government man', Mansoor doesn't have the political axe to grind, that Clarke does. That gives Mansoor much greater credibility.
Mansoor did say that Richard Minter's book was more factual than Clarke's.

This was a "Whittiker Chambers" type of challange at Clarke. GO MANSOOR!

I should also add that the timing of Clarke's testimony also helps Kerry for obvious reasons. The 9-11 families and the nation deserve better than this travesty of a commission.

He basically called Clark a liar. Rice on her part looked shaken to me. The impression I got was that she couldn't believe that this guy was trying to rewrite history and would stab her in the back. I'm more than convinced that those who hate Bush are completely blinded because of this hate.

And when 43 came in, Clarke was demoted from his cabinet-level position. Gee, wonder why the lamestream never mentions that little fact.
