What is the meaning of four disparate shoes arranged just so, though, whether they started off underneath a pile of crap or ended up that way? What are those shoes supposed to make the viewers assume? That four different men died on that spot and left only a sandal each? And left them face up and unbloody?
I mean, I know it's not a crime scene photo, since nothing seems to have been secured. But geez, it looks like they're moving stuff around for propaganda purposes. Or souvenir photos.

There are a couple of photos of Dead Yassin on yahoo, and there appears to be a lot more than his head left. He was definitely dead though.
There was another photo I saw of a Pali holding "a bag of body parts" that were supposedly Yassin's, but it looked to me like a plastic grocery bag that could have had anything inside it. You can't take their word for anything.

Great! But this should have been done 20 years ago.
Now, Arafat.

It's somewhere in the first 60-70 pages of the "Middle East" slide show. He's on a table in the morgue, I think. One shows just his head, the other shows part of his trunk.

Take a look at my photos in #782 when you get a minute, too, and if you can, tell me what the danged deal is with those shoes. They've been bugging me for hours now.

The death of the wicked is a cause for celebration!
Arafat next! Then all those "true conservatives" who support him!

Insomnia is SO worth it sometimes. I wouldn't have known about this for hours otherwise. LOLI *really* needed to sleep last night, but this was *so* worth it!

Unfortuntely, Sbarro's closed a few months ago due to lack of business.I'm sorry to hear that. Do you have any suggestions of places for us to visit when we go to Israel in a couple of months? Besides the cultural/religious thing, we want to show our support for the Israelis in the face of terrorism, and that we're not afraid. We're planning to go into Judea and Samaria, and ride some buses, but any suggestions of how we can show support in a similar manner would be most appreciated.

I read about an American woman living in Israel whose mother came to visit in order to show support. The mother was dressed like a "typical American tourist" with a large American flag on her tee-shirt, etc. She stopped in lots of stores to buy little things, and each time loudly announced that she was doing this to show support for Israel.
The daughter initially reacted to this by rolling her eyes when she described to her friends what her mother was doing, but she quickly was moved to tears by the raw gratitude that even her most cynical friends showed for her mother's selfless conduct.
Time after time I have read about how isolated the average Israeli feels, and how touched he is by personal visits from abroad. I felt that gratutude as well when I went to Israel on a business trip (I can't ever say that I went to Israel just "for business") nearly two years ago.
You may want to ping some of the Israel-based FReepers for their thoughts on specific places to go; I would like to know what they suggest as well.
My own daughter is going to be in Israel in a few weeks as part of a school-sponsored trip, and I'm very excited for her as it's going to be her first visit.
