Brother, we are celebrating the end of a man who wants to kill us all, and does quite a bit towards that end. War is hell - and that man's death means life for many other people. Think with your head, not with your heart!

I wonder how the folks at DU are handling the news. It's an upside-down world, I tell you. Even DU is celebrating

They called Ralph Nader a Conservative the other day. Even though he believes exactly as they do..they call him a Conservative because he is a threat to their potential power.

Let's celebrate and cheer on (like Christians) the killing of an elderly man in a wheelchair who is mostly blind. It was, I think, a tibetan monk who relayed a tale to one of his students inquiring of him whether or not it was right to take the life of another.
The monk answered (I am paraphrasing here, been about 12 years since I read his book), "If you are on a boat with 400 people and the captain of the boat decides to sink the ship, which would kill all aboard, you would have the blood of 400 on your hands if you did not take the blood of that one captain."
The man killed today was the captain of a ship of terror for far too long. Hopefully his crew won't keep veering towards the reef, lest they sink the only ship they have.
Celebrating the demise of evil, and the hope for a better future is not all bad.
He had no sympathy for the women and children he left for dead or mutilated and crying in pain. I have none for him and his ilk.

It opens the door wide to chaos. Yassin is known for his moderation and he was controlling Hamas and therefore this is a dangerous, cowardly act," said Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia.Moderate? This guy founded Hamas, he said it was acceptable to use women as suicide bombers, he had no problem with killing. This guy was hardly moderate.
I would imagine that if the Israelis took this step, they are fully prepared for what might come after. Who's the next guy in line? They should leave Arafat for last.

You are wrong. Not all violence is evil.
Proof: The cure of patients afflicted with cancer takes violence TO KILL THE CANCER.
If the cancer is not killed, the patient is not cured.
Corrolary: And so it is here. Israel did a very good thing
and hundreds of lives were saved.
If Israel bombs the funeral, then another ten thousand innocent lives will be saved.

Research has shown that the Koran was mis-interpreted over the years to say "virgin", when it really meant raisin. Don't you hate it when that happens? Another religious affiliation suffers from a similar goof. A simple omission of a single letter and "celibrate" became "celibate". Bummer.
