C-SPAN to Broadcast Old Kerry Anti-war Testimony

John Kerrys controversial anti-Vietnam War testimony is taking one step closer to haunting him during his presidential bid.
C-SPAN has announced that it plans to present it Sunday night at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. EST.
This could be political dynamite for the liberal senator and presumptive Democratic nominee for president.
This is the testimony where Kerry, a young veteran of the Vietnam War, accused his fellow soldiers of a string of atrocities.
Since the April 22, 1971, testimony has come to light, Kerry has tried every way he knows to play it down or minimize it.
Sunday night, millions of Americans will have the opportunity to see it in the candidate's own words before Sen. William Fulbright's Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

As difficult as it was, I parked in front of the TV for a brief segement with Rita Cosby tonight. Fox military analyst said that the U.N. Oil-for-food program is going to blow up very soon. In fact, he said, the truth of France, the U.N. and Russia being on the take (bribes) to keep Saddam in power is going to put all those who said we needed U.N. "approval" going into this war to absolute shame.
DID ANYONE ELSE SEE THIS?

I caught a little of it annie. Got my attention, also, & you provided an excellent summary.
To: Molly Pitcher
thanks for the ping
Am I understanding that CSPAN is spinning what Kerry said as POSITIVE? At least not being displayed as anything negative?
Unbelievable. No, totally believable.

Is this intro supposed to mute the actual testimony???
I don't think so. It seems to be more of a history--for those who weren't even born then or were too young to remember the situation in the late 60's and early 70's.

Remember, next week C-SPAN will replay some Kerry interview from that era too.
My husband & I are already making faces at each other listening to Fulbright's intro...
Not sure if we can get thru this without exploding!
To: abner
I still haven't figured out Kerry wearing a uniform and having that long hair.
Also, wasn't he in the Navy? I've never seen anyone in the Navy wearing an olive uniform like that.

Just caught a glimpse, C-Span is calling it "Road to the White House".
I turned it off, why waste electricity on RAT propaganda?
