C-SPAN to Broadcast Old Kerry Anti-war Testimony
NewsMax ^

Posted on 03/21/2004 2:26:45 PM PST by GulliverSwift

John Kerry’s controversial anti-Vietnam War testimony is taking one step closer to haunting him during his presidential bid.

C-SPAN has announced that it plans to present it Sunday night at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. EST.

This could be political dynamite for the liberal senator and presumptive Democratic nominee for president.

This is the testimony where Kerry, a young veteran of the Vietnam War, accused his fellow soldiers of a string of atrocities.

Since the April 22, 1971, testimony has come to light, Kerry has tried every way he knows to play it down or minimize it.

Sunday night, millions of Americans will have the opportunity to see it in the candidate's own words before Sen. William Fulbright's Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

I'm not denigrading ONE PERSON who served there; Mr. Kerry did enough of that for one and all.

And when he calls MY FRIENDS murderers, it is relevant to me.

Yes, it's good to have on tape. But it is in black and white in the Congressional Record, which I cited in my link above and what I've posted here:

Oh my......he just joked about leaving our allies to the mercies of the NV army.

That is how I took it too. Everyone laughed. I was morified!

Agreed.
We have only just begun to expose Kerry.
He is a traitor, a liar, and he's anti-American.
I mean that seriously.

KUDOS to you, Julie! Dubya's going to need each and every vote in this country this November...

Kerry says that Lt. Calley did a horrible thing, and that he has no bone to pick with his prosecution. But you have to separate guilt from responsibility. Guilt lies with men who named free fire zones, etc. Also bringing in violence on TV and comic books!!! (Kerry is nuts, says I.)

Even then he was blaming America for everything.

I have this feeling if he won, he'd TALK an issue to death.

I want to know if he still thinks American networks should be blamed for Calley's atrocities. I think that would be a goodquestion to ask him.

"Oh, I guess we'll ONLY hear from the Democrats! Packed house!"

Check out who was in attendance:

LEGISLATIVE PROPOSALS RELATING TO THE WAR IN SOUTHEAST ASIA

THURSDAY, APRIL 22, 1971

UNITED STATES SENATE;
COMMITTEE ON FOREIGN RELATIONS,
Washington, D.C.

The committee met, pursuant to notice, at 11:05 a.m., in Room 4221, New Senate Office Building, Senator J. W. Fulbright (Chairman) presiding.

Present: Senators Fulbright, Symington, Pell, Aiken, Case, and Javits.

+++++++

Also be aware that Kerry was allowed to bring in about 200 VVAW members, who are the people who applaud him at every opportunity. IOW, he was allowed to bring along his own claque.

I don't recall any other Senate witness ever being allowed to do that.
