C-SPAN to Broadcast Old Kerry Anti-war Testimony
NewsMax ^

John Kerry’s controversial anti-Vietnam War testimony is taking one step closer to haunting him during his presidential bid.

C-SPAN has announced that it plans to present it Sunday night at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. EST.

This could be political dynamite for the liberal senator and presumptive Democratic nominee for president.

This is the testimony where Kerry, a young veteran of the Vietnam War, accused his fellow soldiers of a string of atrocities.

Since the April 22, 1971, testimony has come to light, Kerry has tried every way he knows to play it down or minimize it.

Sunday night, millions of Americans will have the opportunity to see it in the candidate's own words before Sen. William Fulbright's Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

He took speech lessons from Teddy...it was popular then to sound like JFK....but note how Kerry has lost it over the years......

It is only damaging to Kerry if you know that his testimony is false. C-Span hasn't given any information indicating problems with the testimony. Rather they gave a very laudatory introduction about the courage and presence Kerry showed by testifying. The average potential voter knows nothing other than what the liberal media has told them about Vietnam. We have much work yet to do.

So true, Howlin. So true...

Dog, this is what I ask myself about people like Kerry and Hillary, et al...:

What I see is their own self-loathing, but instead of facing that and dealing with it...they turn it into a hatred of their country...WHY!!?????

WHY must it play out that way?

WHY do the rest of us have to become part of this bizarre drama, our very lives and security threatened by their delisions and hatred???

Note, as I've said (until blue in the face)--KERRY WENT TO PARIS and NEGOTIATED with the Vietcong and NVN.

My thinking is that the reason this was held is because Nixon had won the presidency. If Humphrey had won, Fulbright wouldn't have held the hearing.

Exactly. I was thinking the same thing...

Doubtful. Fulbright was a dem, and not only paved the way for JFKerry as I see now, but for another lowdown scoundrel, who came out of Arkansas as Fulbright did.

Three of the senators on the assassination list were Stennis, Tower, and Strom Thurmond. I haven't seen the others' names.

Howlin I don't denigrate those that served. Now my opinion of how we got into the war and how the politicians conducted the war is another issue. Those that served went, saw and some took actions they felt necessary to change things after they returned. I may not like that or you may not like that but that is an option....

I think Kerry has ample things for which to take him to task about since his elevation to the Senate.
