John Kerrys controversial anti-Vietnam War testimony is taking one step closer to haunting him during his presidential bid.
C-SPAN has announced that it plans to present it Sunday night at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. EST.
This could be political dynamite for the liberal senator and presumptive Democratic nominee for president.
This is the testimony where Kerry, a young veteran of the Vietnam War, accused his fellow soldiers of a string of atrocities.
Since the April 22, 1971, testimony has come to light, Kerry has tried every way he knows to play it down or minimize it.
Sunday night, millions of Americans will have the opportunity to see it in the candidate's own words before Sen. William Fulbright's Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Taping, and I'll tape the repeat if anyone needs a copy.

We saw first hand how money from American taxes was used to support a corrupt regime."
Now he is saying that blacks were killed in higher proportion than others.

Julie, I am left with the really bad feeling that maybe I myself let his and his friends' remarks shape MY impression of that war. I am stunned at what I have learned!

How much longer will Kerry hang on to his whine about Bush not "internationalizing" the Iraq war effort once it is known that we would NEVER have co-opted those who were having the palms greased by Saddam?

Fox military analyst said that the U.N. Oil-for-food program is going to blow up very soon. That was retired Air Force General McInnerney(sp?). He seemed pretty darned sure of what he was saying.

Yes. Kerry did a great deal to make the vets look like criminals. He has a lot to answer for.

This just makes me sick. Sick. I despise him more than I ever did Bill Clinton.I was just telling my husband this, this morning.

I despise him more than I ever did Bill Clinton.
He went, he served, he was exposed to the potential dangers... more than anything that Clinton did... The Vetnam returnees came home to a country that spit on them and basically ingnored their service. Now his actions later are another topic of discussion.

He is totally sympathetic to Communist North Vietnam! He's really trying for a Kennedyesque oratory.

It's hard to believe that there was an even bigger phoney than Clinton...but John Kerry fills the bill.

"We cannot fight Communism all over the world."

Isn't that EXACTLY what this speech is?

I personally know Nam Vets who couldn't get a job after the war because of Kerry's testimony....isn't that horrible?
He painted them all as savages & Americans believed it....I am old enough to remember how it was.

It's easy to see why he made an impression, tho, if you just listen to his voice...serious, purposeful, calm.
That could make an impression on you...you're taken in, and don't stop to hear, let alone THINK about the words, the lies, the distortions, and over-generalizations.
